Mechanical Artefact: The excellent desktop model engine comes with exposed gear transmission mechanism for eye catching charm of the mechanical operation of the engine. It will be appreciated for its uniqueness, stability and uncompromising performance. Engine Start Methods: (1) Prepare 3 AA 1.5V batteries, check engine circuitry and connect the fuel tank and fuel tube. Connect the battery; (2) Fill the tank with fuel. Make sure there is no air in the fuel tube; (3) Rotate the flywheel clockwise by hand so that the mixed fuel is fully absorbed into the carburetor; (4) Turn the flywheel to check whether there is a spark and the cylinder is under normal compression state. The engine can be started if everything is normal. Precautions: (1) Check whether the piston connecting rod is in the leftmost horizontal position; (2) Check the closure of ignition switch and brass; (3) In that case, turn the flywheel to check whether the connecting rod has moved to 0.2mm in the left side. Brass Cylinder Oiler for Hit Miss Engine. Oiler is in good condition and ready to use. Small surface chip on outside of viewing glass (see photos). Top nut is on very tight. This is a very nice original #1 1/2 Lunkenheimer Emblem gas engine cylinder oiler. It is in as found very nice condition from an old collection with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than one sight glass having a crack in it but still functions as it should. Everything moves and functions as it should. It has nice old patina to it. It has 3/8npt threads that are in good condition. It has a check ball and a vent tube and was built to oil the cylinder of a gas engine. I believe this oiler is ready to be used on an engine. It stands about 7 1/8 inches tall and is about 2 1/4 inches in diameter at it’s largest. These Lunkenheimer Emblem oilers are harder to find in the wild or even at swap meets with each passing year so if you’ve been looking for one for an authentic restoration here’s a very nice one. Brass Cylinder Oiler for Hit Miss Engine. 7 tall tip to tip. 2 1/4″ W x 2 7/8″ H. 4 hole sight glass bottoms. Fill plug is tact by chain that connects it to the oiler is missing.
