Please note my excellent feedback and SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. Here is a listing for a Dayton Vacuum Rotor demonstrator flame licker engine. The small valve timing disk came of the original shaft, and it has been neatly repaired with a replacement shaft. I have put cold water in the cooling recesses, and tried a variety of valve timings (the disk can be rotated to change timing,) but I can’t get it to stay running. The piston moves freely and pulls hard against the closed valve, so I’m guessing there is a trick I don’t know. Maybe one of the two adjustment valves on top has a stuck check ball or something. The photos show a dirty cork sitting on the top recess, that may be used to keep fuel from evaporating by putting it in place of the burner. ANS WERS to the most common questions.
