This is a belt pulley for a john deere 1 1/2 and 3 horse power hit and miss gas engine. It is 8″ in diameter and 5″ across the belt face. There are no cracks, breaks, or welds anywhere on this pulley. The serial # is 311315. The engine is free and does have compression. I have not tried to start it as the magneto is missing. There is a small repair on the exhaust rocker arm. Other than that there are no cracks or repairs. The gas tank appears to be ok as well. The crankshaft bearings do have some wear from use. The igniter is there and trips as it should. This would make a good project for someone to restore or install a mag and use as it is. This engine is not a scale model or a replica engine, but a real vintage gas engine from the 1920′s. Many of these engines have been reproduced, but this is the real deal. The engine has been in my collection for 20 years. I bought it at the detroit model engineering show. The engine has good compression and turns over freely.
