For sale is an awesome antique drip oiler for hit & miss gas engines. This was made by Michigan Lubricator Co out of Detroit, MI. It carries the number 488. The cylinder has a few nicks (one may be a flea bite from production) others are like little nicks from over the years use – these should be able to be noticed in the photos as we tried to zero in on them. This is an old plated brass oiler in good condition. It has a wood knob and lever that move freely. Knob and lever are original to piece, have original finish, fit tightly to piece, and are not cracked or repaired. Glass is original and without cracks or chips. Housing has several scratches and wear but without cracks, breaks, dents, or repairs. Nut on lever pivot may have been replaced. This is a very nice piece. I believe to be complete and original marked Detroit lubricator. The glass is intact and you can see through it. The knobs all turn but one, the one that comes out diagonally. I only tried to move it gently with my hand not tools or wrenches were used. It is obvious that 2 of the handles have been replaced. Overall I think its in excellent condition. Again I did not clean it at all the hole patina thing! PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE. I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY! And HAVE with NO PROBLEMS! If it has gotten to bad I toss it like the 12 atlas tail stocks and the 3 milk crates of collets and all the other stuff. I can not do 30 or 60 days to be honest it doesnt make sense to me. Ding or mark on everything. If I can not then I must take pictures of everything. I will extend to you the following as my father did. I believe this is far to all of us if you have concerns please drop me a note. But I think and it is just me if everyone is on the same table it is all fair. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS! I stuff to get rid of! However I do not view “Best Offer” as an offer of 40 to 60 percent less then.. I promise you it will get there safe and sound.
