The oiler is numbered No. There are patent date of 1877 thru 1881. There is no indication as to its capacity. One of the sight glasses is missing. Valves open and close. There are scuffs, dents and one larger dent that can be seen in pic. The top valve housing has some solder worked around itpic. Bottom valve to the top of the 45 is 10 1/4. It is 7 across. Set of FLYWHEELS FOR HIT AND MISS ENGINE now I know what brandengine they go on… And only number Them is on the Governor 28AE All the Bosses, bores, k-ways, and faces look good. Both wheels have 1.25 bores and 0.375 k’ways thru. Has 2.25 diameter boss by 1.5 long on one side and is 3.14 thick face to face. Is 2.5 thick face to face. Both Wheels are 20″ in diameter and 2-1/4″ wide on outside face and both weigh around 65-pounds each for total of 130-pounds. Depending where you are might be more for like California Texas. Here a neat Detroit Lubricator Co gas engine cylinder oiler. Take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it! 3-3/8 diameter main glass, this glass is cracked but it is a standard #3 glass so it would be easy to get another glass and replace it. 3/8 pipe mounting bottom. 7-3/8 tall with the flipper up. I try to list items very accurately but my opinions on condition may vary from yours. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. This is a real nice original 6-feed mechanical oiler or lubricator for an early gas engine, tractor, car or truck, or other piece of machinery. It was made by Detroit Lubricator Company in Detroit. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the glass tent on the top which really doesn’t affect anything. It seems to have very little wear anywhere on it. It has a cast iron body. The original level sight glass is good. It turns smoothly and pumps oil from 2 of the pumps. I really see no reason it doesn’t pump on all of them but it probably needs a good internal cleaning as it has been sitting a while. The case measures about 4 3/4 x 9 inches and is about 6 1/2 inches tall overall. Overall it is about 10 inches long. It mounts with four holes on a 5 3/8 x 7 3/8 pattern. These early Detroit lubricators are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. I can be reached at 262 573 1931 if you’d like to talk about it. The pictures tell the story. Detroit Lubricator Co nickeled brass oiler/lubricator. Over 99% of original nickeled coating remaining, would say it is in excellent original condition. 4 (four) original cast iron valve handles with DL logo. Seems to be a complete part. 3/8 threaded tapered connection. Functionality unknown and untested. Please zoom in on the pictures to assess condition.
