This is a rather unusual deep well, double reduction cast iron well pump jack made by Nelson Bros in Saginaw, Michigan. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than 2 chipped teeth that I have pointed. The teeth seem to have very little wear anywhere on them and I don’t think this jack has seen much use. It is stuck but should free up with some heat and a little elbow grease. It is marked on the back of the disc with the Nelson Bros name. It stands about 22 inches tall and would make a fantastic display piece for your early hit and miss gas engine display or working pumpjack display. Oddball pumpjacks like this hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets anymore so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss this one. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it! This is a VERY unusual belt driven dynamo or generator for a hit and miss gas engine or other application. It is an “autosparker” of sorts and seems to be in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a screw missing in one of the brush holders. It turns nicely with very little wear in the bearings or on the armature. It has a very unique brass cover over the magnets which I’ve never seen on a dynamo before. It has a adjusting screw on the bottom so that the user can always maintain correct belt tension when driving it. It has the original name tag on it which doubles as the armature inspection door. It appears to be made mostly of brass and is quite an attractive piece! In all my travels I’ve only ever seen one other like this. Will Upload More Pictures ASAP. This a Martin No. 4 Grain Mill made by the MARTIN MFG. These were often ran by tractor’s PTO belt-drives as well as the hit n miss and steam engines. This has been stored in my grandparent’s attic for who knows how long. I inherited their house n property several years ago and now me n my wife need to make space so it’s time that someone can actually use this equipment instead of being stored where no one can enjoy it. We believe this grain mill is in good condition considering their age, and based on the age of these mills they’re obviously in used condition. May have scratches, flaking paint, or other imperfections that are inevitable due to conditions beyond our control and so nowhere have we said or implied that this item is in absolute perfect condition meaning it’s used and so obviously not something that stays looking like it just came off of the manufacture’s production line. This is a real nice original Chandler belt driven piston type water pump. It is in excellent original condition as can be seen and retains nearly all of its original paint. There is almost no wear on it anywhere and all of the moving parts are nice and tight. There’s even paint down in the gear teeth and on the drive pulley yet! I highly doubt it was used very much at all. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of. It was made by the Chandler Pump Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and measures about 40 inches long and 16 1/2 inches tall at it’s tallest. It would be a fine addition to your early machinery collection or display and would look great running it with a gas engine at the shows! The pictures tell the story. It’s tough to find them this nice as they’re usually all worn out. This one is as close to NOS as you could hope to find and may need new leathers at the very most! Circa late 1800s to early 1900s- Pump was a barn find from an old farm estate and is in good overall condition- Flywheel turns smoothly & moves the rod like it should- Did not see any breaks or repairs- Pump is marked with a parts number 27752. Original and just as found- Would look great hooked up and powered by a hit & miss engine for display. Barn find condition with a great patina- Vintage, Used condition.
