Nice clean appearing igniter! Has good spring tension! I don’t see why it shouldn’t work with little to no adjustments, however it could definitely be possible springs may need adjusting depending whether you plan to run your engine with a magneto or a battery and coil. I don’t see any breaks or repairs, there is some “holes” air pockets but I believe that’s just a casting flaw. Shouldn’t affect its performance at all. 1-1/2HP, 3HP, 6HP JOHN DEERE E Hit Miss Gas Engine. Mounts 2 1/2 center to center. The moveable electrode is good. Nice original cast iron painted green. I apologize for any inconvenience. John Deere E108R igniter that should fit 1 1/2, 3 and 6 hp Model E one cylinder hit and miss engine. 2 1/2 mounting pattern. Missing parts and looks like it has been repaired with a brass welding repair. Point shaft seems to turn fine. From my dad’s collection and has been stored for in excess of 20 years possibly as many as 35. I have a huge number of old gas engine items that I hope to be able to list this year.
