This is an extremely rare original “DEERE” wooden corn sheller from Deere and Mansur. It is an early wooden sheller that is fresh from the granary of a Wisconsin dairy farm. It is in remarkable original condition and still retains most of it’s original paint, lettering, and stenciling. It is in excellent mechanical condition and not all worn out like so many of them. It has one small chip on the cob outlet that I’ve pointed out. It has the original hand crank and it’s in good shape. This sheller would be a great addition to your show display or John Deere collection! I can’t remember ever seeing another sheller like this exactly like this (although there’s probably a couple out there but I doubt they’re this nice). I can deliver for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, Coolspring, PA, next year. I can deliver it for free to Coolspring, PA, in October. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. Original early John Deere shellers don’t turn up that often so don’t miss it. Here is a pretty nice old International Harvester 4hp Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in good shape for it’s age but does have some common minor issues that Famous engines usually have. It has a repair on the bottom of the head and on the exhaust flange that could be dressed down and look good. There is a braze on the fuel pump link that could also be hidden. There is a hole in the top of the hopper which doesn’t affect anything but is there and needs to be pointed out. The cam gear has some cracks in it (none on the diameter) but is still tight on the cam shaft and has run like this for many years. The engine turns over nicely with great compression and everything seems to move and function as it should. The flywheels run true and the engines runs on gas in the bowl of the mixer. There is very little wear on the gearing or the main bearings. It is an earlier engine with the IHC name cast in the side of the hopper. It has the original belt pulley and serial tag on it. It sits on some nice oak skids that are about the right length to add the seat/battery box correct for the Famous engines. It’s not a perfect engine but could be perfect with just a little elbow grease and a few additions. It would be a fine addition to your hit and miss engine collection or International Harvester Famous lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. This listing is for a very rare if not unique early wood sign that was used to advertise Heider farm tractors back around 1915 to 1920 or so. This sign is around 100 years old and is painted on a pair 3/4 thick soft wood boards that are fastened together. This sign measures 7 feet long by 11 inches tall. The first image shows a white 3 foot long yard stick placed in front of this sign to give you some idea of this sign’s large size. Unfortunately, it appears that about a foot was cut off of the right end of this sign a very long time ago. This probably happened when this sign was used for some other purpose and painted on the back side. A very crafty person could make a wood expension for the right end of this sign and have a sign painter paint the part of the letter “r” that is missing as well as the letter “s”. One could then antique those letters to make them look old and make this sign look even better than it does now. I have included 2 images that show early Heider tractor avertisements that are not part of this listing. I have included them here for reference purposes only. Please notice that the script lettering used on this sign was also used on 1 of the 2 ads shown at the end of the photos of this listing. The Heider tractors used a friction drive continuously variable transmission and it was known to cause problems due to wear on the friction material which resulted in slipage. This sign was originally painted all yellow with the black background silk screened after the yellow paint dried somewhat. The black paint has a rough texture as if it had sand in it for some reason. I have seen reflective painted signs but I don’t think this was ever a reflective sign. This may be your only chance to acquire a very rare Heider tractor sign like this so please give this opportunity some very serious thought if you have a Heider tractor or collect early agricultural signs. If you have an early Heider tractor, acquiring a sign like this to go with your tractor can sometimes add more value to the tractor than what the sign itself would cost. Here is a pretty nice old 2 1/4hp Associated Hired Man hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks or repairs other than the missing speed changing screw and some heavy solder and a new filler neck on the original embossed gas tank. This could be cleaned up a bit and look a little more presentable if you so choose. It turns over nicely with decent compression and everything seems to move and function as it should. There is very little wear on the gearing or in the bearings. It is an earlier engine with the straight ignitor trip and I don’t think it ever had a magneto on it. It has the original belt pulley and name tag on it. I think with a little fresh gas and a battery and coil this engine would fire right up and make noise. This is one of the harder to find Associated sizes. It would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or Associated lineup. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. This is a rather hard to find very early style “heavy pattern” 2 1/2hp hit and miss gasoline engine made by the John Lauson Manufacturing Company in New Holstein, Wisconsin. It is one of the earliest styles as it has the cylinder and crankcase cast in one piece. It is ignitor fired and is a true hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition for it’s age with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than the fuel saver tab needing to be straightened out. This should be a very simple project. The engine turns over nicely and has good compression even after sitting for a few years. It looks to have some original paint under the repaint. The flywheels run true and the bearings and gearing all seem to be in great shape. This engine would benefit from an unrestoration or a proper restoration but displays quite nicely as it is. The gas tank is cast into the base. It has a very nice heavy cast brass serial tag on it. This is a very early engine that doesn’t turn up very often! It has nice lines to it and would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or display. Other than a fuel line, gas, a battery and coil this engine shouldn’t take much to make noise! The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. Early Nice John Deere Antique stationary gasoline engine magneto. Will fit the 11/2 to 6 HP size but has gear for a 11-2 hp size. Magneto is barn fresh and has spark. I have not cleaned it up and there is some rust on band so review pictures for size and condition. Mag body is good with no breaks and threads are good. This is a pretty nice older restoration 4 1/2hp United Type A hit and miss gas engine. It is a very early engine (serial 400124). It was restored back in the 1970′s and seems to have most of the original paint underneath. It is in excellent mechanical condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It has good compression even after sitting for a few decades. There is very little wear on the engine as the gears are nice and square and bearings all seem to be tight. The flywheels run true. It has the correct early style head and mixer on it along with the original muffler. The gas tank is homemade and has a pinhole in it but should be an easy repair or replacement. It is on a factory subbase which is quite uncommon. It is on a large wheeled (2 1/2 inch face wheels) Electric Wheel cart which I believe is correct for it. It was also used under many other manufacturers engines. It has the original handle and rolls nicely. I haven’t run the engine but It should only take some fresh gas and a battery to make it run. I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. It can also be picked up here. The pictures tell the story. The bigger United engines don’t come along that often so don’t miss it.
