1/3 scale Economy Hit & Miss Engine Casting Kit. Last 3 from the estate of Joe Tochtrop No more to be produced. 11 Aluminum castings 4 cast iron castings- crankshaft, pullet and 2 flywheels as shown Complete Plans with parts / materials list These are the last remaining castings from the Estate of Joe Tochtrop Includes my personal modification for Viton head gasket and piston ring, including parts. Joe was a long time maker of casting kits for various scale model engines. Upon his death I was able to obtain his entire casting conglomeration for his lifelong assortment of various motors. Sorting thru them, I found enough individual castings to able to put together a few complete casting kits for some of his motors. Because some of his casting patterns were lost, this engine in Joe’s configuration will no longer be produced. If you’ve ever wanted to build one of his motors, don’t miss this last opportunity to get an original Joe Tochtrop casting set. I included 3 pictures of this completed casting set from the dozens I have made over the years. As you can see, the finished version of Joes plans are only limited by your imagination. One of my upgrades made over the years was the use of a Viton Quad O-ring for a head gasket and piston ring. I also developed a tapered crank and flywheel plan to ensure straight running flywheels. This kit includes the plan changes for both upgrades, as well as the 2 Viton Quad O-rings you will need. Completed motor is approximately 12 inches long, 7 inches tall with 6 1/2 inch flywheels. Bore is 1 1/8th inch. My personal engines from this kit generally run between 350 and 500 rpm’s. Using the variable speed lever and flyball governor. The item “Scale Model Hit & Miss Casting Kit for The Economy Engine Last 3 available” is in sale since Tuesday, October 11, 2016. This item is in the category “Toys & Hobbies\Models & Kits\Tools, Supplies & Engines”. The seller is “toolguy4u” and is located in El Cajon, California. This item can be shipped to United States.

Old 7hp ECONOMY Hit Miss Engine Webster Magneto Steam Tractor Antique Motor WOW
economy
Comments Off
This is a pretty nice old 7hp Economy hit and miss gas engine. It’s in decent condition and should be a pretty straightforward restoration project. It has a rebuilt Webster magneto on it as can be seen. It turns over nicely with decent compression although it’s been sitting for many years. The flywheels run true. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs anywhere execpt a weld on the rocker arm which could be dressed down or replaced if you so choose. There is also a freeze crack in the water jacket on the offside. It is not pushed out very much and should be an easy repair as well. It may even seal up with salt water or vinegar (if it even leaks at all). The head is not broken or repaired like so many of them. It has a homemade muffler on it. It will need a gas tank and a choke plate but the original check valve is in the hopper. It needs some general bearing tightening but there are many shims to remove. All in all this is a pretty decent engine and should be an easy project. I can deliver it for free to Coolspring, PA, later this year or LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. It can also be picked up here. The pictures tell the story. The bigger engines don’t come along that often and really draw a crowd at the shows. Don’t miss it. EARLY Sears & Roebucks Economy Farm Master 2 HP Hit Miss Flywheel Engine Cushman
early
Comments Off
Early example of a Sears Roebucks Farm Master engine. Serial #A2323 – A very low serial number, they most likely started at 100 or 1000. Looks to have original paint and possibly wood skids- but no way to know (the hardware looks pretty old). Has compression and turns over fine, everything is free and i’m sure this engine would run fine in the right hands. It will need a little tinkering. Water hopper splash guard is bad, but they can be replaced fairly easily. It will be insured & packaged properly. It is used and very old. It is not going to be in perfect shape. I will be listing more ENGINES & PARTS. The item “EARLY Sears & Roebucks Economy Farm Master 2 HP Hit Miss Flywheel Engine Cushman” is in sale since Thursday, August 18, 2016. This item is in the category “Business & Industrial\Light Equipment & Tools\Stationary Engines\Engines”. The seller is “vintagefarmtoolsandmore” and is located in Scappoose, Oregon. Old EDGEMONT Clutch Pulley HERCULES ECONOMY Hit Miss Gas Engine Steam Magneto
edgemont

This is a real nice original cast iron clutch pulley for a Hercules or Economy hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is a #1 and was made by the Edgemont Machine Company and I’m pretty sure it’s the smallest one they made in this style. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It is stuck but I don’t think it would take much to free it up. It is not rust pitted very badly and appears to have been inside most of its life. The handwheel spins as it should with very little wear. The pulley has a 5 3/4 inch face and is 8 inches in diameter. It mounts to every other spoke of the flywheel with threaded holes 9 1/2 inches apart on center. It should fit a 2 1/2 all the way through the 12hp engine. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. It will fit on any engine with an adapter plate. These smaller clutch pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it much easier to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. This one is ready to be put to work on an engine or put into your inventory for a spare. The pictures tell the story. I can deliver this to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year for free.
