Not only is the Battery Assembly there but also included is the original painted steel Storage Case which is in nice used condition as well! Fresh from the estate of a long-time Ford model A T Hit & Miss/Stationary Engine collector. Excellent example of an original Edison Battery for the antique auto/truck/stationary engine/early Radio/Talking Machine/Electric Motor/ Bipolar Fan/etc. Owner or early Automobilia Collector. Hit Miss Engine Edison Battery. Very hard to come by battery. Looks complete but can’t say for sure. Has some wear and signs of use but is in good condition for the age. Not sure if the straw on the bottom is part of the battery of just for stability when not in use. The color is a cobalt(blue/purple) and not the royal blue that the pictures show. HAS FLAT BELT DRIVE PULLEY, OVERALL LENGTH IS 19 1/2″, COILS 5″ DIAMETER AND HEIGHT IS 11 TO WOODEN TOP BOARD NOT COUNTING BRASS CONNECTORS. ONE COIL HAS MISSING STRING PROTECTIVE LAYER BUT WIRES ARE NOT EXPOSED, RED FIBER END CHIPPED AND ONE TOP BINDING BRASS POST HAS BROKEN SCREW TOP, ONE ARMATURE WIRE IS BURNED AS SHOWN POSSIBLY FROM A BAD SOLDER JOINT, BRUSHES ARE MADE TO LOOK ORIGINAL BUT NOT ORIGINAL TO THIS DYNAMO.
