This is a VERY hard to find and pretty decent original factory cart made by a jobber and used under many company’s hit and miss gas engines including Stover, StaRite and MANY others. It is the version with the 3 inch wide wheels. It is about the right size for a 4 to 5hp engine depending on size. It is in decent condition for its age. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of. Three of the four wheels do not turn on the axle but it shouldn’t take but a little heat and some patience to free them up as there is clearance between the bore and the axles. The cast iron wheels are 9 and 14 inches in diameter with 3 inch faces. The upper bolster is about 22 1/2 inches long overall. The rear axle risers are missing but I believe they are available from Cattail Foundry in PA. It would also be pretty simple to make some kind of risers. It has the original handle brackets on the front axle as can be seen. With a little elbow grease it would be a perfect cart and it would certainly make moving your engine easier! I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. The pictures tell the story. This is a rather hard to find and pretty decent original factory cart made by Galloway for under their smaller engines. It is about the right size for a 1 1/2 to 3hp engine depending on size. It is in decent condition for its age. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs on it that I can see or know of except for two chips in the rear wheel hubs which is quite common on these carts. This won’t affect anything and isn’t real easy to notice unless you are looking. The cast iron wheels are 7 1/2 and 10 inches in diameter with 1 1/2 inch faces. The upper bolster is about 9 7/8 inches long overall and a faithful reproduction in cast iron from Cattail Foundry. The cart will need two angle irons of the correct length for your application to put your engine on it but this should be a pretty straightforward procedure. The axles are about 22 1/2 inches long. There are traces of original red paint in several spots and it would look great under a nice original engine. All of the wheels move as they should and it would certainly make moving your engine easier! I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. This is an extremely hard to find and pretty nice original factory wheelbarrow cart for a small Associated hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I’m aware of. The wheels are 9 inches in diameter with a 1 5/8 inch face. The wheels and rear axle casting are original and the handles are faithful reproductions. Just add a plank of the correct size and mount your engine! It rolls nicely and would certainly make moving your engine easier! This is the correct cart for the smaller Associated engines and possibly others. It would work under any engine in the 1 1/2 to 2hp size depending on the engine and it would make the engine stand out with the fancy wheels! I can deliver it for free to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. The pictures tell the story. This is an extremely hard to find and pretty nice original factory cart or truck for a 1 1/2-2hp Bauer hit and miss gas engine. It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I’m aware of other than three cracks in the spokes of one rear wheel and a couple flea bits on the edges of two wheels. This doesn’t affect it’s performance and is rather hard to notice. It would be easy to repair if you so choose. The wheels are 9 5 /8 and 7 3/4 inches in diameter with a 1 7/8 inch face. The axle part numbers are T14 and T15. It has a replacement wood handle on it that works well. I think the irons on the handle are original. It rolls nicely and would certainly make moving your engine easier! This is the correct cart for the smaller Bauer engine and possibly others. It would work under any engine in the 1 1/2 to 3hp size depending on the engine and it would make the engine stand out with the fancy wheels! I can deliver it for free to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for and I will load it for you. It is mechanically very nice, and runs perfect. The gas is probably a good 20 years old which is the only reason it smokes a little in the video. Hits nice and hard and coasts for a good long time. Has a really nice unworn, hot 2 bar brass Webster on it. Gas tank is brand new, no leaks, and no water leaks. Very good compression, flywheels run true. No cracks, breaks or welds. Speed control works just as it should, this engine is ready to work all day or just idle. Nice polished flywheel rims. This engine is totally complete including the original muffler. Oiler glass has a crack in it, but works great and doesn’t leak. This engine needs nothing but a new home and some gas and oil. Would be a really nice addition to any collection, I’ve owned it for almost 4 years, it’s a really hard one to let go. You can also pick it up here, we are 100 miles north of Detroit. I can store the engine here for up to 6 months for no charge as long as its paid for. Feel free to ask questions. VIDEO OF ENGINE RUNNING. This is a model E Economy 2 1/2 hp hit and miss gas engine, made in 1919. I have run it from time to time and ran just fine. It could use a fuel tank clean up. It has an external crack in the head which doesn’t affect it and can easily be repaired. It sits on its factory installed trucks. You see a few of these 2 1/2 hp Economy’s around but I haven’t seen any on factory trucks with this much nice original paint. I can store for a while if you need some time to line up a way to get it home. We have many rare and unusual and common Maytag and other larger hit & miss engines available! Old Original IHC International Harvester McCormick Deering Model M 1 1/2 HP Hit & Miss Gas Engine On Factory Cast Iron Wheeled Engine Hand Truck. This is a very nice original 1 1/2 HP McCORMICK DEERING engine on factory original wood skids with trucks. This is a running engine with good brass cased hot Wico EK magneto. The engine and skids have good original green paint and has lettering showing on both sides. The one side engine decal looks to be a new one. This engine has the rare automotive style fuel pump that works great. It is a good running engine, all complete with good brass check ball cylinder oiler, muffler, rear breather, belt pulley, IHC grease cups, hand crank and trucks. The hand truck iron parts have been sandblasted and repainted black. The wheels have had repairs and the hand crank has been welded. No other cracks, welds or other repairs.
