1907 IHC 3hp Vertical FAMOUS Screen Cooled Hit Miss Gas Engine on Original Cart

Nice older restoration 3hp vertical, screen cooled IHC Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is on the original skids and cart with the handle. It was restored many years ago and shown. It turns over as it should with good compression and should run with minimal effort. It has the original pulley and correct muffler on it. The screen/tank have been remade but look good. Everything moves as it should and it has most of the original plumbing on it yet. There is a well done old repair on the water jacket an water pump bracket (as with most vertical IHC’s) and also on the water pump eccentric but it works just fine as is. The engine is missing the trip finger roller but this should be easy to find or make and I can point you in right direction for one. This should make a good show engine with minimal effort! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Portland, IN, Coolspring PA, or Baraboo, WI, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. Here is a an original oil sight glass for an IHC 2hp or 3hp Vertical engine. Its in good shape but it appears the hole for the sight glass might have been bored a little bit off center as there is a thin spot in one area. Here is a an original funnel that would have came with an old IHC engine. If you look in some of the old manual and parts books it shows a funnel exactly like this one. The flutes allow air to pass by as you fill the tank. I’ve had one of these for years that I actually use to fill gas tanks of old engines. Check out the pictures and see if you need it.
