This is a Thordarson low tension coil made early in the 1900′s. I believe they were the favorite of early IHC Famous engines and tractors. Is still in its original patina. This is a very rare original International Harvester Company, IHC, cast iron ignition coil for an early Famous or Titan gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts on a 1 3/4 x 4 5/8 inch rectangular pattern. It has some original black paint on it and part of the original Western Electric decal remains. I checked it just before I took the pictures and puts out a hot, fat, blue spark almost like you are welding! It is ready to be used to run an engine or to be put in your early IHC memorabilia display or collection. These coils are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. IHC fuel pump for hit miss engine, tractor, auto. Fuel pump is in good condition. 1/4 threads are good. 1 1/2 mounting hole spacing center to center. Fits 4-12 hp Famous, Victor, and Titan engines. Could be used on other hit miss engines also. “A S IS” due to age. If you don’t see a part you need listed, good chance I have it and haven’t gotten around to it yet so just check with me. Like I said I have done this a long time and try to list everything accurately to explain all the good and the bad. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper, I won’t take it back. This is an extremely hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a 6, 8, and 10hp International Harvester Famous or Titan hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It mounts with two 1/2 inch holes 1 7/8 inches apart on center. This bracket will fit the 6, 8, and 10hp and possibly other sizes but please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. It may also fit other engines. The magneto mounts on a 2 7/16 x 2 13/16 inch pattern so it would take a Webster or Podlesak JY magneto. The points look to be in perfect shape. There is a little wear on the movable shaft and a few pins need tightening up but I think the bracket is usable as is. Everything moves as it should. These brackets are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Very nice original IHC clutch pulley. Believe it fits a 6hp Famous, probably many others. Mounting bolts are 15 1/4 across. Pulley is 24 diameter 6 1/2 wide. There is one cracked spoke on the pulley. This is a pretty decent little 1hp International Harvester Famous hit and miss gas engine. It is in original condition fresh off of the farm. It turns over as it should but some of the small parts are stuck. I’m sure with a little patience and elbow grease they’d free right up. It has some original paint and lettering on it yet and sits on the original board. It is quite greasy so I’m sure there’s more paint to be found! It has an old repair on the head which could be dressed down and made presentable. The exhaust threads and back end of the push rod need attention as I’ve pointed out. It has the original mixer and gas tank on it. It is the earlier version with the bronze connecting rod. It also has the hard to find cream separator bracket on it. The gear and pulley are gone but are available rather inexpensively. There are a few sharper teeth on the cam gear which is quite common on these little IHC’s but it should be alright the way it is for quite some time. This little engine should be a pretty straightforward project and would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or IHC display. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. I can deliver this for free to Coolspring, PA, Baraboo, WI, or Portland, IN, engine shows or several auctions later this year.
