This is an original Webster K 2-bar magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It should fit many engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It seems to be in good shape but isn’t perfect. It is missing one cover screw and has a chip on one bearing cover and another on the leadout cover which really don’t affect its performance. It mounts on a 2 inch square hole pattern. The threads in 3 of the holes are in great shape. The threads in one hole are good at the bottom and may be usable but it could benefit from a helicoil type repair. The shaft moves as it should with very mild wear and the trip finger is in excellent shape as can be seen. I recharged the magnets and this magneto has a nice hot spark that is sure to run your engine if it is set up properly. It will work just the way it is or with just some minimal effort could be made perfect. The pictures tell the story. It would also make a great spare on the shelf. This is a very nice original Webster K 2-bar magneto for a hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It should fit many engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It seems to be in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a chipped oil hole on the rear bearing cover which really won’t affect anything. It mounts on a 2 inch square hole pattern and the threads in all of the holes are in great shape. The shaft moves as it should with very little noticeable wear and the trip finger is in excellent shape as can be seen. It has the original name band on it and retains some of the original gold paint on the body as can be seen. Probably one of the nicest Arcade cast iron Fairbanks Morse Model Z hit & miss gas engine that Ive seen in recent times. Very bright and clean with minimal play wear – never cleaned or waxed etc – a very nice example. Measures 3 3/4 inches long – no damage or repairs. It is the Second of Two Original Brochures that I owned. It was Printed in U. Form number is C-105 — 1927. It is titled The Greatest Advancement Ever Made in Farm Engine Building. This brochure is a single sheet, 4 page brochure. Colors are still bright. When opened up the brochure pictures the 3 H. John Deere Type E. In center it reads This illustrates the 1-1/2 H. Size mounted on truck. The John Deere is made also in 3 and 6 H. Sizes mounted or on skids. It pictures the John Deere Pumping Outfit and Pump Jack. Overall the condition of this brochure is good or better. It has light edge wear and bumping to corners of the the pages. There is some very small tears or separation along folded edge of sheet which you are only able to see when brochure is open an held up to the light. You can see a rough edge at top left of 2nd picture and top right of 3rd picture. Still for a brochure that is over 90 years old this is remarkable.
