This is a real nice old Edwards #5 alligator metal shear. It is fresh from an old collectors estate and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. Everything moves and interacts as it should. There are a couple nicks on the shear bars but it should work the way it is or these could easily be replaced. These shears are a great addition to your blacksmith shop setup or display and they really speed up material gathering in working shops! I can deliver them for free (or a cold beverage) to Coolspring, PA, Baraboo, WI, or Portland, IN, engine shows later this year. They can also be picked up here. The pictures tell the story. This is marked Jabsco Pump Co. 1 1/4″, Burbabank, CA” US Patent number 2189356. This pump has a V belt drive (there is no electric motor included, you will have to provide your own). It measures about 7 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ x 5. The drive pulley measures about 4 inches across. Four hole mount on center = 1 1/2″ x 4 9/16″. This pump is free to turn, but we’ve haven’t tested it with water. It has two grease cups for providing lubrication to the bearings on the drive shaft. The grease cups have 7/8 diameter. This pump has a patina of age. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please feel free to call me with questions. If you don’t see a part you need listed, good chance I just haven’t gotten around to it yet, so just check with me. Gray hit & miss engine, 1-3/4 HP. Have not located serial number. Head measures almost 6 across. Top head bolts measure 3-1/2 center to center. Flywheels measure almost 17. Engine is missing a lot, was used as an air compressor, had check valves on it when I found it. No cracks, breaks, repairs or welds anywhere. Located 20 miles South of Cleveland, Ohio.
