This is a VERY hard to find original Carruthers Fithian cast iron gasometer for an oilfield type hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is cast iron and measures about 11 1/2 inches in diameter, 7 inches tall, and 11 1/2 inches tall overall. It has 1 1/4 inch npt threads in the brass valve. It is a #2 size. It will need to be taken apart and freed up and the broken off vent pipe needs to be extracted but this should be a very straightforward project. These Carruthers Fithian Gasometers are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one.
