Fuller Johnson 7 HP Model K Kerosene Gas Engine. Barn fresh untouched – Rare big engine found in the desert – very little rust. Slow running engine, 400 Max RPM. Engine is stuck, but looks to be barely stuck, the cylinder looks very nice, and everything else is free. Magneto is also free. Has old repair on the head that looks to be well done and could be cleaned up so its not there. Has a broken rocker arm, I have the broken piece, but it is pretty pitted up, I will include, it could probably repaired and add some character. Comes with original rare magneto. Has Original Fuel tank, looks to be in good shape. On ORIGINAL WOOD skids (rotten part of skids cut off). Will need a couple small things. This is a good shape & rare engine for the age! This engine came from my grandfather’s farm. I assume he was the original owner. He died before I was born. My father had the engine for as long as I can remember. He would run it periodically. My dad died 20 years ago and it has been in my garage ever since. I have made a point to rotate the flywheels from time to time, but have not had it fired up. I have decided to part with it and free up some space in my garage. The gas tank and the water drain valve are not original. To the best of my knowledge everything else is. The wheels and steering on the cart all work as they should. This would make a nice addition to somebody’s collection! Fuller & Johnson exhaust rocker arm and bracket assembly. No repairs whatsoever which is very rare with these parts! Not all sloppy and worn out either. This is an early style rocker arm with late style bracket without valve lock feature. If you don’t care about the valve lock feature then this part could be used on a 2 1/4hp People’s Priced, 2 1/2N or early 3hp N. The valve lock feature was not used on the model K and was discontinued on the model N. Can also be used on a 4 or 4 1/2hp Model NB. 1915 engine flywheel from a hit and miss engine, probably to run a pump. Fuller and Johnson was on the isthmus in Madison Wisconsin. The serial number puts it in the 1915 range. It has been soda blasted, linseed oiled and waxed. On the back, I prepared it for wall hanging and it hangs safely. It weighs 51 pounds, the diameter is 15 3/4″, depth 3″ The handle for cranking the engine is original, it hinges out and was designed to swing in during engine operation. For sale is a very nicely restored 1927 Fuller and Johnson hit and miss engine. 173161, 2 Hp, 600 rpm. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Below is a brief summary of NC model Fuller Johnson hit and miss engines from the late 1920s. The F&J Company introduced the Model NC in 1927. There were two types of this engine–one with a new disk flywheel available in 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2 and 3 HP sizes and the other type with a spoke flywheel in 2 and 3 1/2 HP sizes. The Model NC with a spoked flywheel was similar to the Model NB, with slightly greater horsepower. Most Model NC engines were equipped with Wico EK magnetos and sparkplugs; however, the engine could be ordered with a battery/buzz-coil/sparkplug electrical system. The F&J Company discontinued using rotary magneto and igniter systems in 1925, after adopting Wico EK magnetos and sparkplugs. All Model NC engines incorporated the governor weights in the flywheel.
