Here is a very nice and HEAVY KW Ignition Co. Model F ignition or lighting magneto. It stands 10″ tall, 8 1/2″ at widest and 6 across. It is in very good overall condition with the only real flaw I found is a small rip in the brass cover. It is quite small and will not affect the operation. I have provided a good picture of it. In the research I have done on this mag I have found that they were built between 1904 and 1913. In 1 catalog it stated that this mag was used as a replacement for the battery to power the buzz coils on the Ford model T’s. Please look at all the pictures and decide for yourself what you feel the condition is and weather you really want or need this mag.

This is a VERY hard to find original KW Model SA highbar belt-driven lighting generator for use with a hit and miss gas engine, prairie tractor, or other lighting application. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than a chip on the drive pulley which shouldn’t affect anything. Turns over nicely with very minimal noticeable wear in the bearings. It has excellent magnetic pull and lights up a test light very brightly. All of the mounting feet on the brass base are in excellent shape as can be seen. These original KW lighting generators are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for a lighting application here’s a very nice one. Let the pictures be your guide. I can deliver this for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year.

Came from a local estate. Still retains some of its original red paint. Everything turns and is not froze up. The wire that comes off the top has no insulation on it as seen in the last photo. This will have to be fixed. I think it’s complete, but since I don’t know how this thing works I’m going to sell it as not working and for restoration or parts. Check the pictures as they are part of the description. Weight is over 24 pounds.

Here is a nice Motsinger friction generator or magneto. I hooked it up to a 12 volt battery and it spun just as it should. Only very minimal bearing wear. The governor may be reproduction but it is nice, it is missing its set screw. The armature cover is reproduction but seems to fit well Please check out the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is friction type generator. This mag is meant to be used with a coil. It is not meant to be able to start an engine but is meant to take the place of the batteries once the engine is running. It in itself will not produce a spark that will jump an air gap. Will run on 12 volts. Overall its about 11-1/8″ long, 10-1/2″ wide, and 6-3/8 tall. Weighs about 19 lbs before any box or packing materials. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask. Don’t be a clown and tear it all apart and then try to return it when you can’t get it to work. Thanks for looking at this listing! Very neat shelf or display item. Turns over but is a little stiff, (has a drag to it) See pictures for the absolute best description and keep in mind this item is almost 100 years old, it is far from new.
