Spindle is not worn. Gear looks very good. I do not see any break or repairs. Most of my item are old and I will try to do my best to give an accurate description.
Unknown to me governor. Turns over but has some rough areas. Has a couple old weld repairs. Teeth are worn quite a bit. Pulley is not attached to the shaft by very much. Bolt hole spacing is 3 3/4 on centers. The stem that runs the balls in and out is bent up towards the top. See pictures for the absolute best description.

For use on a 3-6 HP Fairbanks Morse Z throttle governed engine. Cast iron bracket with hints of the original green paint. Mag mounts 3 7/8 center to center. 4 7/16 center to center 2 bolt engine mounting. NOTE: Would need to remove the trip roller if this gear is to be used with a rotary mag like the R, J or RV. ZCA28A on cast iron gear. Cast iron gear has about 7 1/8 diameter. 70 straight teeth that are 3/4″ wide and spaced 3/16″ apart. Includes the advanced retard/trip roller on the gear that is to be used with AB33 mag. Condition: Nice original part with n o breaks, cracks or welds that I can see however, d. This is a rare single fly ball governor for a hit and miss steam engine. It is made of cast iron and all parts move smoothly. Would need a cleaning and lubrication. There is a vague patent date on the brass ring around the ball. It appears to read Pat. Can’t find a makers mark. It does have the original belt pully wheel. This is 23 inches long and 21 inches tall. It has brass valves.
These are recast in aluminum. You will need to transfer your hardware- gears etc. Most of my item are old and I will try to do my best to give an accurate description.
