For your consideration is an original Crankguard for a 3HP Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Gas Engine. Its about 4-1/8″ wide overall where it bolts to the cylinder, about 5-7/16″ wide on the guard at the bottom base and about 6-1/8″ wide on the extension, 5-9/16″ wide in the center, it’s just under 17-3/8 long from end to end in the center of the actual guard. Crank Guard for 3HP Fairbanks “Z”. Crank guard is in good condition and ready to use. 3HP Fairbanks Morse Z. Sits inside the base (5 1/2″ W) at rear and bolts on the back of hopper (4 3/8″ W) toward the front. The middle of the guard measures 5 1/2 W. Its about 17 1/4 measured end to end straight through. There is a slight link on the right side mounting arm which can be easily fixed, and it has some inside surface rusting which adds to the original patina.
