Here is a very rare piece! This J112 igniter bracket and Webster magneto fits a large Armstrong gas engine. You see few mag brackets around now and then, but you rarely see anything for an Armstrong. The Webster is the large size like you see on the bigger engines. I’ve kept this mag on the shelf for years as part of our collection, but I figured if anyone needed it for an Armstrong engine, it just as well go back in service. It is greasy and dirty, but I think everything on it is complete and seems to be in good shape. The mag is missing one screw, but that’s the only thing I can see gone. It even has the original starting trip lever. The Mag & igniter both move freely and I don’t see anything broken or repaired on either. The points look good and it even has the original terminal clip on the igniter and the original name band on the mag. These brackets are hard to find and this one is in good condition for being 100+ years old. Don’t miss it if you need one. Please check out my other engine parts auctions. Here is one of the nicest magneto/igniter setups I’ve ever offered for sale! This is a K26 bracket for a Hercules built (Economy) gas engine. The magneto is a very nice three bar Webster. The whole setup is in very good condition. It needs a new wire from the mag to the igniter, but I hooked up the wire to the igniter and gave it a flip with a screwdriver – on the first try I got a spark. So with a little freshening up you should have a beautiful original mag for your engine. Here is a very rare magneto / igniter setup for a Simplicity Gas Engine. This is an early bracket with the highly sought after and rare Podlesak magneto. Or even if you just need a mag, you won’t find them much nicer in barn fresh condition than this. I’ve looked the mag & igniter over and they seem to be in nice original condition. I don’t see anything broken and there are no welds or repairs. The igniter and mag both look nice and greasy & they rotate smoothly. Neither are stuck nor are the worn out. The shafts feel nice and snug. I hooked a meter up to the mag and flipped it with a screwdriver & it moved the needle back and forth. So the coils should be good. It might need a recharge on the magnets, but I think it should work without much more than a good cleanup & lubrication. This is a really nice outfit & I would be very excited to find this if I needed it for my Simplicity engine. 2 7/8 center to center on the mounting holes. Hit or miss engine egniter parts as shown – The mounting hole spacing is approximately 2 7/8 inches (2.875″) – the mounting hole diameters are about 0.405″ diameter – one is made of brass, the other two are cast iron or steel – each has the oscilating shaft with contact point – two of the points look very good and one is badly pitted – the point on the arm with no shaft looks home made from a bolt – one of the egniter parts sets includes the spring and little arm that rotates the shaft – there are no stationary contact points. Here is a tough to find piece. This is a Wizard Magneto probably for a Worthington engine. The mag would work on others and the igniter might fit others like Alamo or R&V as well, I’m not 100% sure. The bolt holes are 3 1/2 inches center to center, so if that is what your engine is, it very likely will fit. This setup came from a magneto repair shop and has been completely gone through. New bushings in the mag. New points and the igniter rebuilt. Some new springs and other pieces. Even has the nice new braided wire. I tested it and got a spark out of it on the bench, so it should be ready to put on your engine. These are very hard to find mags and this would make a nice piece to complete your engine. The igniter base is marked. The webster magneto is missing the magnet loops and side caps but the brass base and rocker arms are good with no issues. The waterloo igniter is very complete and has no missing or broken parts. This will be a very good unit to rebuild. This is a nice original igniter. For your waterloo engine!
