This is a real nice original 4-feed mechanical oiler or lubricator for an early gas engine, tractor, or other piece of machinery. These had many applications in the early industrial world. It is ratchet drive from one end as can be seen. It was made by Detroit Lubricator Company has a cast iron body. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for the top glass. It is fresh from an old farm shop where it sat on the shelf for several decades! It is stuck but I’m sure it is just dried up and needs to be take apart and cleaned. These Detroits are much easier to work on than the Madison Kipps! It has the original filler plug and flat sight window and mounts on a 4 3/8 x 5 5/8 inch pattern. The case measures about 5 x 8 inches and is about 7 inches tall overall. Overall it is about 10 inches long. It has the original serial tag on the front. These Detroit oilers are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. With just a few winter hours in the woodstove-heated workshop I’d be willing to bet this would be a really nice, working oiler. I can be reached at 262 573 1931 if you’d like to talk about it. Here is a real nice original Stuart vertical steam engine. The machining and workmanship are excellent! The vertical engine stands about 6 inches tall. The flywheel is about 3 inches in diameter. There are no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns over nicely and everything moves as it should. It has a great original patina to it. These old Stuart steam engine toy models are extremely tough to find in the wild and don’t even turn up at swap meets very often so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. This is an extremely hard to find original cast iron flat belt pulley and mounting stub shaft for a 6hp John Deere E hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. The stub shaft is part number E2014R and the pulley has a 6 1/2 inch face and is 12 inches in diameter. It mounts to every other spoke of the flywheel with three holes 4 5/16 inches apart on center. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. These original 6hp John Deere cast iron pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! This is a early model Dayton Ohio vacuum rotor with 3 digit serial number (871). This motor was in pretty bad shape when I got it. Some parts were missing so I made new brass and metal parts. Some of the parts I had to replace was beyond repair or missing. This is the early model that does NOT have the whistle in the top front. One of the pics show some of the parts that were in bad shape. I’ve only got it to run three or four revolutions at a time. I think the timing or something needs to be adjusted a little. This is a rather hard to find and pretty nice old tire roller that was commonly used by blacksmiths to roll tires for wheels and rolling other miscellaneous steel and iron into curves. It is in good used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a collar being added to the end of the infeed roller. This is to keep the needle bearings in it. It turns nicely and the needle bearings seem to move as they should. The roller is about 23 inches long overall and measures little over 6 inches between the shoulders of the rollers. It works good and would be an indespensible tool to make even arches and curves in even quite heavy steel. The outfeed idler roller is adjustable for many size radii of curves. It will need a square socket hand crank or you could use a wrench to use it. It is marked Ideal No. These original blacksmith tools are increasingly hard to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for your shop here’s your chance.
