Don’t be tempted by a cheap price tag, compare the features and you will realize the difference in quality and value. Quality remains long after price is forgotten. Bolsters are cast iron of universal design, adaptable to your application. Fully machined and painted, ready for use. Axle u-bolts and mounting hardware included. Wheels are machine bored, rather than a rough cast cored hole, and then the outer rim of the wheel is machined flat and smooth as opposed to tapered rough cast. Handle mounting brackets clamp onto turning axle making handle mounting and removing easy. Instructions include with set. 8″ diameter by 2″ wide, 1-1/6″ bore for ¾” pipe axle. Steering Bolster – 5″ diameter base, 6-1/2″ wide axle mount saddle, two 7/16″ mounting bolts 3-3/4″ apart. Solid bolsters – 3″ tall, 4-1/2″long mounting base, 1-1/2 thick. 3-1/2″ long, 2″ wide, 1″ thick, ½” x 1 post. Maximum recommended engine weight is 500 pounds. The only parts needed to complete the cart are common 3/4 pipe for the axles, engine mounting rails, front bolster mounting plate, a handle and nuts and bolts. Up for sale is a really super nice and rare circa 1890 Ames Iron Works stationary steam engine. The engine is rated at 10 horse power. It has a absolutely amazing 2 inch gardener governor. Nothing on the engine is stuck, seized or broken. The engine looks completely original and intact and unmolested! It has a nice large pulley (I believe its 2 foot diameter). It has a tag from General Machinery in Philadelphia which is most likely the place where it was originally installed. I can hold the engine for an extended period of time. Up for sale is the pulley off a Fairbanks Morse 6 hp type Z engine. Comes with original bolts. 12″ in diameter and has a 6 3/4″ face. No damage or repairs. May fit the 3 hp Z???? Great for running implements at shows or work. Do your homework to make sure it will work for your application. Take a good l ook at the pictures. If you do not see what your looking for just ask. This is a homemade hit and miss engine. The flywheels are cast iron, the block was machined from scratch by my uncle who built and engineered the entire thing and also carved his name into it. The electronic ignition parts come from various motorcycles. The wheels were also built and soldered together by hand. The oil in gas premix is 6cc of two-stroke oil per 250cc of Coleman premium blend fuel. I apologize for any misleading, I have been corrected by my uncle who built this engine. The Flywheels are actually cast zinc, and the engine block and water jacket and basically everything red is cast bronze. The piston has two rings, but the compression psi has not been tested. The ratio has been measured to be about 3.5:1. It does not have oil, except the two stroke oil added to the gas, which lubricates the cylinder wall and the rod. The little metal bucket catches this runoff oil. All the other bearings have pinholes for occasional oiling. Marked FAIRBANKS MORSE in raised letter on the inside with the letter Z on the side of the engine. The flywheels move freely as they should and measures approx. 4 inches long over all.
