Here are a pair of original risers for a Alamo, Empire, or Rock Island gas engine. I think this is for about a 2hp to 2-1/2hp size engine. These were mounted in between the engine base and the wood plank on some engines. I think these were mostly used engine the engine was on a cart but I think they were also used without a cart. Take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it! Part number 38 61. About 9-1/4″ long, 3″ wide, 2-1/8 tall. I try to list items very accurately but my opinions on condition may vary from yours. This is an original cast iron cylinder head with valves for an Alamo, Rock Island, Empire, Cockshutt, or other Alamo-built hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. Â The head has a part number of 5948. Â The head is about 7 inches in diameter and mounts with 4 holes on a 4 1/4 inch square bolt pattern. Â I would say this is for about a 4-5 hp engines. Â If you know what size it fits please educate me. Â It is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. Â The valves are both in it and look like they are usable but the intake valve is bent a bit and will need some attention. Â They both move but are a bit stiff. Â There appears to be very little wear on the faces of the valves or in the guides. Â The setscrew for the mixer moves as it should. Â Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. Â These original parts are quite tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets!
