This is a real nice old rotary belt driven centrifugal pump. It was made by Red Jacket in Iowa and is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It turns over very smoothly and would work great to move the cooling water of a large hit and miss gas engine. It stands about 7 1/2 inches tall and is about 9 inches long. The outside of the vane housing is about 6 1/4 inches in diameter. It mounts with four slots and has a v-belt pulley on it. This could easily be changed to a flat belt pulley if you so choose. The pipe threads are 1 and 3/4 inches and are in great shape. This could be a very useful pump in the hit and miss engine world, either for cooling or for a water pump display run by an engine. The pictures tell the story. I can deliver this for free (or a cold beverage) to Coolspring, PA, Baraboo, WI, or Portland, IN, later this year. Up for sale or offers here is a vintage Monitor model VJ engine with pump jack and Red Jacket hand pump. As far as I can tell, you have everything you need here to make a working well pump model powered by the Monitor VJ engine. Engine appears complete, but it has been sitting for years. This is one of the projects dad just never got to and now he is working on model engines and moving the big cast iron ones out. This would make a great display to set up on a wash tub and have a working well pump at a show. I don’t know how much the engine needs to get it going, but I don’t think it would be anything major, probably a good fuel system cleaning and some fresh oil and a hot buzz coil. I don’t see and CBWs that need attention. Like I said, been sitting out of the elements in the she for the last 25 years, not sure when it last ran. I have a hoist and can assist with loading. If my price is too high, shoot me an offer. I take all reasonable offers and even some unreasonable ones.
