Up for sale is a nice Fuller & Johnson engine. Starts and runs on the mag. Comes with the hard to find starting crank. I see two little issues with the engine. Both are pointed out in the pictures. The rocker arm repair and the base has a chip. Both do not affect the running of the engine. Great engine to add to your collection. Can load onto truck or trailer. Can bring to engine shows I attend. Portland in August and others. Do your homework to make sure it will work for your application. Take a good l ook at the pictures. Solid engine, lots of compression, ran good on borrowed magneto. The wico ek magneto on it now will need parts and rebuilding, it appears to be all there except the cover but I have not confirmed that myself. The governor, head, and cam gear have repairs but are all functional. There may be other repairs as well, it is nearly 90 years old. This is a real nice original cast iron clutch pulley for a Fuller Johnson hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except that the handle has been replaced at some point in it’s life. A new reproduction casting which needs to be machined is included in the sale. Everything works as it should and there doesn’t seem to be very much wear anywhere on the pulley. I’ve had it completely apart and one friction disc is in excellent condition and the other is in two pieces. It would probably work the way it is or it would be an easy replacement. The pulley has a 6 1/4 inch face and is 16 inches in diameter. It mounts to every other spoke of the flywheel with threaded holes 12 1/4 inches apart on center. It should fit a 7hp engine and probably fits other sizes of FJ engines and other makes as well. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. It will fit on any engine with an adapter plate. These original bigger clutch pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it much easier to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. This one is ready to be put to work on an engine or put into your inventory for a spare. The pictures tell the story. This is a real nice older restoration 3hp fuller johnson n hit and miss gas engine. It is a true hit and miss engine and is in excellent condition as can be seen. It has good compression and no cracks, breaks, or repairs that i can see or know of. It is ignitor fired. The gas tank is in excellent condition. I haven’t tried to run it but i’m sure with a little fresh gas and a battery and coil it would start right up and run. It has no noticeable wear in the bearings. The paint is pretty decent but is flaking off of the crank guard. This engine was shown by the previous owner and it never disappointed. It has the original cast iron belt pulley on it to drive your favorite implement. It is complete with the original muffler and needs nothing but a new owner to have fun with it! All of the hard work is done and this engine should be ready to go! It would be a fine addition to your collection or display.
