Greetings vintage steam engine and hit & miss engine collectors! For your consideration is an OLD brass and glass oiler with a 6 sight / line manifold made by the Michigan Lubricator Company Detroit, Michigan. Late 1800′s – early 1900′s. This old lubricator is in very good condition. The glass on the large cylinder looks almost new with very few scratches. One of the six small sights has a crack in it. The main cylinder measures about 4 3/8” tall and about 3 3/4” in diameter. The small sight glasses measure about 5/8” in diameter and 7/8” tall. The top is stamped Michigan Lubricator Co Detroit and the part number 56A8. After doing about 2 hours of research, I cannot find another set up like this. There are a few oilers with similar design and size, but nothing with this 6 sight manifold. As such it’s hard to ascertain a true value on this item. Feel free to make me an offer!
