Magneto is in good condition and ready to use. Webster type JY1 flip type. HOT – throws a nice blue spark. Bolt pattern 2 1/2″ X 2 7/8″. Threads all look good. No breaks, crack, or welds except one oiling hole is chipped out, but that doesn’t affect use. I apologize for any inconvenience. Please feel free to call me with questions. My parts inventory has grown out of control, so set a reminder to check back frequently for new listings! If you don’t see a part you need listed, good chance I just haven’t gotten around to it yet, so just check with me. This is a hard to find original rotary magneto setup for a Fuller Johnson hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine. It is in great condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts to the main bearing studs with two holes 3 inches apart on center. It is part number 2N190 and fits on a 5hp engine for sure. I believe it should fit some other sizes of Fuller Johnson engines but please measure your engine or consult your parts book to be be sure. It has the original magneto gear, idler gear, and gear guard with it. The magneto gear has 30 teeth and all of the teeth on it and the idler gear are on great shape. Everything moves and functions as it should. There is very little noticeable wear on the movable shaft. This bracket is ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. If you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. It’s a great way to add a rotary magneto to your engine to eliminate messing with batteries and a coil! Here is a nice magneto for a John Deere E hit and miss gas engine. It makes an excellent spark. It has perfectly tight bearings. The little corners of the case are chipped just a little bit, that is very common with this mags and will not hurt a thing. Both of the mounting holes have been repaired with thread inserts. There is an extremely tight little crack by the one mounting hole that will not hurt a thing. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 3/8 shaft for gear mounting. For questions 419 789 1159. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a nice magneto. Here is a hot Wico EK magneto that will fit many different old engines. It has only a very small amount of normal wear. It looks to have been rebuilt and it has the single coil upgrade. There is a sticker on it from Weaver’s Magneto Repair. It makes a hot spark and should be ready to run your engine. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. VERY hard to find Sumter #30 rotary low tension magneto. Several applications including John Lauson Frost King Jr, and many others. It’s in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It turns over smoothly with excellent magnetic pull and puts out a very hot spark that will surely run your engine if set up properly. It has some flaking black paint on it that will come off pretty easily to make it look even nicer. It mounts with two holes 2 inches apart on center and the threads are in great shape. It’s ready to go to work on an engine or would be a great spare on the shelf for the next time you need one as they just don’t come along very often! These Sumter 30 magnetos are quite tough to find especially in this condition so don’t miss your chance if you need one for any reason. Let the pictures be your guide. You’ll like it. Here is a very nice magneto for a John Deere E hit and miss gas engine. It makes an excellent spark. It has perfectly tight bearings. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. SPECIAL NOTE: This is a low tension magneto, it is meant to work with an igniter and will not produce at spark that will jump an air gap. It will not work with a spark plug. The spark it produces can be observed by rubbing a wire from the terminal against the case of the mag while turning the shaft. It does have to be timed to the engine. 3/8 shaft for gear mounting. One mounting hole has excellent threads and other is missing a few. A bolt will still tighten up in it just fine. It would be very easy to do a Helicoil repair to it if you wanted to.
