I tripped the armature a few times on my bench and I can’t seem to see any spark. May be something simply, may need a complete over haul. I removed the covers to give you the best description possible. Inside is decently clean considering it’s age! See pictures for the absolute best description.

Here is a Webster JY brass body magneto. It has only minimal wear and it makes a nice hot spark. It is missing the trip catch block and a spring. One of the mounting studs is slightly bend and the one spring holder is slightly bent. Its not perfect but with a little work it can be a great mag! Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. The mounting pattern is about 2-27/32″ x 2-7/16″. Armature spins freely with springs off, no armature drag. Only very minimal wear. Missing trip catch block and a spring. One mounting stud is slightly bent. One spring holder is slightly bent. This is a low tension magneto meant to work with an igniter. It will not produce a spark that will jump an air gap no matter who tells you it will or how close you hold the wire to ground.. It makes a spark that can be seen when the igniter points open. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. Here is a hot Wico EK magneto that will fit many different old engines. This mag has has some wear and may eventually need a new bushing in the armature. It will probably be able to run an engine as it is but there is a chance it may not. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. If you want to talk about it 419 789 1159. Here is a very nice Wizard Type H friction magneto. It is in great shape. I hooked it up to a 12 volt battery and it spun just as it should. Please check out the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is friction type generator. This mag is meant to be used with a coil. It is not meant to be able to start an engine but is meant to take the place of the batteries once the engine is running. It in itself will not produce a spark that will jump an air gap. Mounts with 2 holes about 4-13/16 apart on center. No bearing wear can be felt. See pics for dimensions. Weighs about 19 lbs before any box or packing materials. I think I list items very accurately but my opinion on condition may differ from yours. In my opinion this is a great magneto. If you have any questions about how to use it on your engine please ask. Here is a scarce V-belt style clutch pulley for a Fairbanks Morse engine. It was made by WA Jones in Chicago and has the original brass tag on it. The belt pulleys are 7″ in diameter and the clutch mounts to every other spoke of the flywheel with holes about 3 7/8″ on center. The carrier has a 1 3/8 hole for the crankshaft. This clutch should fit on a 1 1/2 and 2hp Fairbanks Morse Z, a Headless Z, and a ZC enclosed crank engine. It may fit on others as well so please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It will fit on any engine with an adapter plate. It is in good condition but does have an ear that needs repair as can be seen. It is stuck but I’m sure with a little heat an patience it would free up as it looks just dry stuck. It should make a nice clutch for your engine. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Coolspring, PA, Baraboo, WI, or Portland, IN, later this year. These Fairbanks Morse clutch pulleys are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it possible to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. The pictures tell the story. Here is a Webster magneto bracket for a Nelson Brothers built engine. There are no cracks, breaks, or welds that I can see or know of. The trip roller does have a small amount of braze but that doesn’t really count. Reproduction ones are easy to get if you want to change it out. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. For questions 419 789 1159. SPECIAL NOTE: This is for a Nelson Brother built engine. Fits a Nelson Brothers built engine. Mounts to the engine with two holes about 2-1/8 apart on center. The mag mounting is 1-1/2″ x 2″. Small normal amount of wear on the moveable electrode, it should work just fine. The points look good. There is a small amount of braze on the roller, it probably had a flat spot someone built up. It should work fine or new rollers are available. Thanks for looking at this listing! HOT SUMTER 26 Low Tension Magneto with gear. I’m uncertain what this gear will fit. Please be sure to review the photos and see the measurements in the description to be sure this mag is right for your engine. Bench tested – HOT with test light and I recharged the magnets. Band is good and is stamped Sumter Electrical Chicago, IL 3-M No. 2 3/4″ X 3″. 2 mounting holes that are 2 apart on center – threads appear to be in great shape. Gear has 3 1/4″ diameter and 30 teeth that are 1/2″ wide and spaced 3/16 apart. Please feel free to call me with questions.
