This is a rare Galloway Masterpiece Six Hit Miss 6 hp stationary engine on Skid It came from a local collector that passed away. I acquired a few of his engines. This particular engine I was told was quite rare, I believe by the serial number 31657 it is a 1915 or a 1916. It is not a saw rig model so it does not run backwards. I do not see any signs of cracks in the castings or any repair welds anywhere. I do have a low tension coil that will come with the engine. The igniter does have good spark. It is free and does seem to have good compression. I believe with little work it could be easily running however I have not tried to start it at this point.
