Greetings vintage steam engine and hit & miss engine collectors! For your consideration is an OLD brass and glass oiler with a 6 sight / line manifold made by the Michigan Lubricator Company Detroit, Michigan. Late 1800′s – early 1900′s. This old lubricator is in very good condition. The glass on the large cylinder looks almost new with very few scratches. One of the six small sights has a crack in it. The main cylinder measures about 4 3/8” tall and about 3 3/4” in diameter. The small sight glasses measure about 5/8” in diameter and 7/8” tall. The top is stamped Michigan Lubricator Co Detroit and the part number 56A8. After doing about 2 hours of research, I cannot find another set up like this. There are a few oilers with similar design and size, but nothing with this 6 sight manifold. As such it’s hard to ascertain a true value on this item. Feel free to make me an offer! Here is a piece that is about impossible to find if you need it. This is a mixer for a McVicker’s Automatic hit and miss gas engine. Probably for a 6 HP – 2nd generation engine, but may fit others as well. The main body of the carb is in great shape. Nothing broken or repaired. The choke valve has a replacement handle on it as the original was broken off. The needle valve and plug in the top is missing and will need to be made. But the hard part is there and in good shape.
