This is a really nice original Rowell hammermill made in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It is in excellent used condition with seemingly very little use! The bearings are all nice and tight and it retains most of it’s original paint and decals. It turns over nicely and was used fairly recently by a previous owner who mentioned that it worked well. It stands about 37 inches tall and is relatively small so it is not so cumbersome to move! It sits on the original wood skids which have the same gray paint as the machine. It includes the original cyclone bagger which is about 8 feet tall. This would be a great addition to your engine or tractor show display because people like seeing what these machines did! I can deliver for free to Coolspring, PA, or a few auctions later this year. I can deliver to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. This is a really nice original Althouse Wheeler Windmill Company feed grinder or burr mill made in Waupun, Wisconsin. I know it was made or offered by them as I have one in my collection with their name inside the hopper. It is in excellent used condition with most of it’s original paint and striping! The bearings all seem to be in good shape. It turns over nicely and was used fairly recently by a previous owner who mentioned that it worked well. It stands about 41 inches tall. The hopper has been replaced with new wood but includes the original cast iron corners. There is a very well done weld repair on the shaker pan and it is missing one foot on the base. Neither of these affect its performance. There are no other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. This would be a great addition to your engine or tractor show display because people like seeing what these machines did! I can deliver for free to Coolspring, PA, or a few auctions later this year. I can deliver to LeSueur, MN, Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, next year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. This is a very unusual model of a fanning mill or threshing machine toy that likely took hundreds of hours to build! It is fresh from an old engine and mechanical antique collectors estate. It appears to be a fanning mill or grain thresher of sorts. It measures about 8 x 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches tall. It has cast iron wheels which are stuck and one is broken as I’ve pointed out. The fan and shaker table are driven by pulleys and moves as they should. It is likely 75-100 years old and possibly more… I just don’t know. It could also be some sort of salesman’s sample. I’ll let you be the judge. The shell is mostly constructed of wood or wood products and it has all old hardware holding it together. It is missing the tongue to pull it and possibly the top if it ever had one. With a little creativity this would be a great addition to your early mechanical toy collection or scale model engine or working display. Old model toys like this are awfully tough to find in the wild anymore so don’t miss your chance on it. It just has a great old look to it! The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it. Here’s an item that certainly doesn’t turn up very often! It is a Challeng #6 burr mill or feed grinder. It was made by the Challenge Company in Batavia, Illinois. It is in good mechanical condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of and everything seems to work as it should. I ran a handful of corn through it and it seems to grind nicely. It turns over smoothly with no noticeable wear in the bearings. It has a nice pulley on it to run it with your engine. This a nice smaller sized mill and stands about 34 inches tall. It has a reproduction steel hopper on it that seems like it was pretty well done. It would be a great addition to your early agricultural collection or display at the shows! The pictures tell the story. Here for your consideration this Hammer mill (I believe it is a David Bradley). The hammer mill itself stands 19 tall, not counting the feeder shoot. Overall it is 60 tall as pictured. Took it apart to check it and no cracks welds or repairs on it. It has the total of 3 screens included. I have run corn and eared corn thru it and it works as it should. If you want to use an electric motor on it, it will need to be 3 hp or larger. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
