Piston and Rod specifically removed from a 1 1/2HP Hit & Miss dishpan Fairbanks Morse engine with slant cut gears. No breaks or repairs. Will need shims for bearing cap. Wrist pin bushing seems good. See pictures for the absolute best description and measurements.

Antique Hit & Miss Fairbanks Morse gas engine, Gas Engine Magazine Featured

Featured on the cover of Gas Engine Magazine, Volume 30, No. Has been stored indoors ever since. I bought it from Joe Olsen of Ukiah, CA in 1993 and have shown it at CA branch 31 Gas-Ups. The engine is mounted on a special, solid oak truck, fancy striping, and a unique undercut which allows turning the engine around in a radius equal to the length of the truck. The solid oak rails (6-1/2″ x 3-1/3″) have a dozen coats of marine varnish over the striping and lettering. The metal guard over the undercut is polished copper with brass screws. The engine has an in-line spark indicator light (from a motorcycle) which shows when a spark is sent to the spark plug. A solar charger is mounted on the battery box’s lid to keep the battery charged. Available only until Thursday, October 24, 2024 in Fairfax, CA.

Governor Bracket & Cam Gear for. 3HP – 6HP Fairbanks Morse Z. Throttle Governed Gas Engine. Bracket and gear are in good condition and ready to use. For use on a 3-6 HP Fairbanks Morse Z throttle governed engine. Cast iron bracket with hints of the original green paint. Mag mounts 3 7/8 center to center. 4 7/16 center to center 2 bolt engine mounting. NOTE: Would need to remove the trip roller if this gear is to be used with a rotary mag like the R, J or RV. ZCA28A on cast iron gear. Cast iron gear has about 7 1/8 diameter. 70 straight teeth that are 3/4″ wide and spaced 3/16″ apart. Includes the advanced retard/trip roller on the gear that is to be used with AB33 mag. Condition: Nice original part with n o breaks, cracks or welds that I can see however, d. Head For 3hp Spark Plug Fairbanks Morse Z Hit Miss Stationary Engine Red

For your consideration is an original HEAD with VALVES for a spark plug 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z throttle governed, Hit Miss Old stationary type Gas Engine. The exhaust port threads are in good condition. The 1/2 NPT spark plug threads appear to be in good shape. The valves move, and are fairly tight tight in the guides rather than wiggle, they may need lapped or attention I’m not guaranteeing them on anything. The mounting bolts are about 4-1/4 apart on centers. It’s about a 7-7/16 diameter outside circle. The carburetor mounting bolt holes are about 3-1/4 on center. It doesn’t appear to have any cracks breaks or welds. It’s in original red color.
