This is a rather hard to find original Webster magneto ignitor bracket for a small Hercules or Economy hit and miss gas engine. It should fit the 1 1/2hp engines but please measure your engine to be sure it will work for you. It is bracket number 303M1 and seems to be in great shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It mounts with two holes 1 3/4 inches apart on center and the magneto mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch square hole pattern. The movable electrode moves nicely with very little wear and the point is in great shape. It needs a stationary electrode, tension spring and an advance/retard lever tab to make it complete. These are available from several of the hobby suppliers quite inexpensively. If you need a Hercules/Economy ignitor bracket for any reason here is a pretty nice one. The pictures tell the story. Vintage Early Maytag Engine Model 92 Motor 1934 Single Hit Miss Runs! Here is a nice original Maytag 92. I believe this one was made in 1934. Looks like someone helicoiled the spark plug thread, so now it just uses a standard automotive type plug. These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get the carb set right for starting, it will start and run. The return spring on the kickstart needs to be shortened or replaced because the pedal doesn’t always return up when starting, but this is easily replaced. The ignition plate clamp is broken and missing the screw, so the plate is not tight on the engine. Honestly, this doesn’t seem to affect the running at all. It also needs a carb gasket, but again, it runs fine without it. See all photos for condition. This does have an older restoration and paint job. I have decided to leave this in it’s “work clothes”. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby. This would look great at an engine show, or just have it to teach the grandkids about history! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get the carb set right for starting, it will start and run nice. Someone did repair one of the broken mounting lugs, but if you ask me they did a pretty nice job. The flywheel also seems to have been repaired. I’m not sure why or how, but I think it was in the area of the serial number, so I can’t date this one. I have decided to leave this in it’s “work clothes”. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further. It does have an older restoration and I’d say it’s show ready. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby. This would look great at an engine show, or just have it to teach the grandkids about history! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! It has the Eisemann magneto. Mounted to a custom wood skid. These Maytags can be a bit temperamental at times, but once you get it set right for starting, it will sit and run nicely. This is missing the air cap, but the “farmer fix” from years ago actually seems to work fine. It also has a large dent in the flywheel, but this doesn’t affect it running much. It is also missing a couple bolts on one cylinder, looks like one is broken off. I have decided to leave this engine in it’s “work clothes”, as far as refinishing. You can choose wether you’d like to restore it further or run it as it is. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby. This would look great at an engine show, or just have it to teach the grandkids about history! Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions! This is a nice original American Bosch MJK 2-cylinder flange mount magneto for an old Caterpillar crawler tractor pony starting engine. It is a model 4/2 180 version so please do your homework to be sure it will work for you. It is in solid condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a crack in the cap which looks like it could work the way it is or likely be repaired. It is a left-hand or counterclockwise magneto as noted by the arrow on the top of the housing. It turns over smoothly with no noticeable bearing wear and has very good magnetic pull. It puts out a hot, fat, blue spark on both leadouts that’s almost 1/4 long. I had the cap off and everything inside looks very clean and like new. These American Bosch MJK magnetos especially good, hot ones are getting harder to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one for a restoration here’s a very nice one. This is a very nice original Wico EK magneto as used on several hit and miss and throttle governed gas engines. It is in very nice condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than some wear on the end of the leadout which won’t affect anything. I checked it and it has a nice, hot spark so it should be ready to run an engine if it is set up properly. It has the original serial tag, leadout, and front cover with STOP button. The threads in both mounting holes are in great shape. Take a look at the pictures and decide if this magneto is right for your application or your taste.
