Vintage Maytag Engine Model 92 Motor 1934 Single Hit Miss Runs Great! Here is a nice original Maytag 92. I believe this one was made in 1934. This starts easy and runs great. It has a new spark plug and plug wire, as well as a custom wood base. It does leak a little gas around the carb when running, but it looks like it just needs a new gasket. As you can see, a thrifty previous owner repaired the starter cover/kickstart. I think its pretty ingenious and it seems to work just fine. I have left this engine in its work clothes as far as refinishing, because I think that may be traces of original paint. You can choose wether youd like to restore it further. I own several of these Maytags in my collection, and they are a great hobby. This would look great at an engine show, or just have it to teach the grandkids about history! Here is a large and impressive 32 clutch pulley for a big gas engine. It has an 8″ face and mounts to every spoke of the flywheel with holes about 8 3/8″ on center and every other spoke of the flywheel with 3 holes 14 3/4 on center. Three of the 6 holes have been enlarged but will still work without issue. The pilot measures about 19 3/4 inches in diameter directly across the center point. It moves as it should and is in good condition but has a crack in the face that could easily be repaired with a method of your choice but probably wouldn’t be a problem if left alone. It has original red paint on it as can be seen. I don’t know what engine it came off of but would work on any engine with an adapter plate. If you know who made it or what engine it came on please educate me. I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Baraboo, WI, Portland, IN, or Coolspring, PA, later this year. These big clutch pulleys are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it possible to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. This one should be ready to be put to work on an engine or put into your inventory for a spare. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This is an old K & D, Knapp and Davis electric motor fresh from the attic of an old estate. It seems to be in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of other than a missing tension spring for one brush tightener. It measures about 4 5/8 inches in diameter and about 5 3/4 inches tall overall. It is about 6 1/4 inches long. It turns nicely with seemingly little wear in the bearings or on the armature. I have not tried it but I see no obvious reason why it wouldn’t motor or generate. It has the original oil cups and wire terminals on it yet as can be seen. It looks to have had a name tag on it but I think reproductions are findable. It has some original black paint on it yet but I didn’t clean it very much other than a light dusting. It would make a nice addition to your early toy or electrical collection. It would also be neat as a generator pulled by a model gas or steam engine! The pictures tell the story.
