This is a really nice home built air cooled flywheel engine model. It was built a few years ago by great machinist and his skills are quite evident in its craftsmanship! I believe it started out as a Nelson Brothers engine and several modifications were made. It has a counter balanced crankshaft and a spark timer setup on it. It has 9 inch flywheels so it is a pretty good sized model. It has excellent compression and shouldn’t take much to make noise as it was a running engine not very long ago. The oiler stem needs repair and it needs a throttle linkage from the rod to the carburetor as it was lost somewhere along the way but this should be a pretty straightforward piece to make. No other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is presented nicely on skids with a gas tank and includes the starting crank for it. It is a very unique engine that is sure to turn heads at the shows! This would be a fine addition to your early air cooled engine collection! I can deliver for free (or a cold beverage) to Coolspring, PA, later this year. It can stay here as long as needed as long as it’s paid for. A neat ole engine I picked up at local estate sale. The gentlemen use to work on and rebuild engines. This one is super nice in my opinion…. It has very good compression by pushing on the kickstart. It had some old gas in it, so I dump it out. The tank needs to be flushed out more than likely. I poured a little gas in the carb and got it to run for a few seconds, it sounded great.. Just maybe a little fresh gas and this one will be a runner?? I sell mostly used or vintage items. I’m not expert on many things and cannot describe every detail, so look closely at pictures. Up for sale is a very nice restored Maytag Model 92 11-111, Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial # 769141 stamped on it so it was in production Feb 1937. Painted with original Maytag green automotive paint. The skids you see under my motors go with the engine. I have been restoring these engines for over 10 years. This engine was completely taken apart and SAND blasted BEAD blasted cleaned and painted the original Maytag green paint. I take a lot of pride in these motors as you can see and I like to do a little extra detailing such as the lettering and the numbers as you can see in the pictures. I think it makes the motor’s stand out better. Lot of guys likes to copy my work so I have a trade mark that I can only tell that it is one that I had done. I do not use any junk parts on my motors. As you can see this engine is complete and not missing any parts such as the pulley and air filter. It has new rings, condenser, spark plug and plug wire with new ends. I also honed out the Cylinder jug and carburetor is completely rebuilt with all new parts. This engine has been restored and freshly painted and the fuel tank and top plate was sealed so it will not rust again. I do not paint the flywheels like some people I just polish them up nice. After putting it all back together I ran three tanks of fuel through it and it runs just fine. I like to run my engines that much so I know it will run great and help seat the rings a little for you. Then I put on a set of real nice WATER TRANSFER DECAL that I had made and sell. NOT those NASTY sticky fly by night cheap decals. The coil is good and has hot nice spark. I have a lot of people will send me a motor to restore for them as well. All it needs now is fuel and you can start it with your hand, it is that easy to start. No breaks cracks or welds.
