Here is an Oil City Boiler Works engine with a South Penn cylinder. Commonly referred to as a “Halfbreed” engine. They originally drilled the well with steam and then changed the engine over to producer gas straight from the well head, hence free fuel. The engine rolls over and is not stuck. I can see no damage such as cracks, breaks or welds. The front of the cylinder head is very nice, it is NOT all burnt up from years of heat from the hot-tube as many are. There some new parts with the engine, a newly cast hot tube burner, a hot tube pipe and a gas valve for same. Also included are the transfer valve, main fuel valve and the exhaust elbow. Flywheel diameter is 61, so it is not a wimp. I can load the engine. It weighs in about 4,595#, so it could be hauled on most any decent size car trailer or larger. We can also side load it on a large or Semi type truck. This engine is 100 (+/-) years old. Expect unforeseen problem/defects/damages or anything else you could find on a machine of the vintage.
