Here is a carb or fuel mixer that I think is for a small Nelson Bros Little Jumbo. It is in good shape and seems to be ready to use. It appears someone might have ground down the mounting area to make it fit in a smaller hole. It would probably work fine as is or it would be easy to have a machinist true it up and make a bushing to slip over that area. Please take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it. I think this is for a small Nelson Bothers engine. It mounts to the engine by slipping into a hole. I think the mounting area has been ground down. It is currently a little uneven and a little tapered It is 1-3/16″ at the base and 1-1/16″ at the top. No, Cracks, Breaks, or Welds that I can see or know of. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. Here is a very nice old 1 3/4hp Nelson Brothers Model P hit and miss gas engine. It is fresh from an old collection where it lived for many years. It is in great shape with no cracks, breaks or repairs other than a drop of weld on the trip finger on the magneto. It turns over nicely with excellent compression and everything seems to move and function as it should. There is very little wear on the gearing or in the bearings. It was gone through mechanically by a previous owner and primed but not painted. It has the original name tag and muffler on it. This engine would be a very straightforward project and is not a very common engine! It would be a fine addition to your early hit and miss engine collection or Nelson Brothers display. This is a rather unusual deep well, double reduction cast iron well pump jack made by Nelson Bros in Saginaw, Michigan. It is in good original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than 2 chipped teeth that I have pointed. The teeth seem to have very little wear anywhere on them and I don’t think this jack has seen much use. It is stuck but should free up with some heat and a little elbow grease. It is marked on the back of the disc with the Nelson Bros name. It stands about 22 inches tall and would make a fantastic display piece for your early hit and miss gas engine display or working pumpjack display. Oddball pumpjacks like this hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets anymore so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss this one. The pictures tell the story. You’ll like it! Engine has one weld that I can find which is on the feed tube that attaches to carburetor, it looks like a old repair! Engine has one break that I can see which is on one of the governor weights, the ear is broken off that rides in the governor collar. Piston and bore looks to be in good condition and turns over freely! There’s a small hole drilled through the cam gear, i think someone had plans of installing spark plug ignition at one time. Comes with a reproduction brass rocker arm that still needs machined. Bearings still have plenty of life left in them! Engine is missing the mag, gas tank, speed lever, and misc bolts and springs I’m sure! Engine should make a great project it’s small and easy to move!! Parts for these Nelson brothers are easy to find it seems like. Still lots of grease and original paint! Please ask questions if you have any! I can bolt this to a pallet and drop off at my local Fastenal for no extra charge! My Fastenal is located in Mt Pleasant Iowa 52641.
