Here is a rather scarce 1 1/2hp Fairbanks Morse Z with Sumter Plugoscillator ignition. Built only in 1919. Excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. New gas tank at that time. Outstanding compression and very little wear anywhere on it. We put fresh gas in the starting side and it fired right up and ran nice! Has the original oiler, pulley, muffler, and serial tag on top of the head. This is a throttle governed engine that should make a great little engine for someone. This is a VERY hard to find original Carruthers Fithian cast iron gasometer for an oilfield type hit and miss gas engine. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It is cast iron and measures about 11 1/2 inches in diameter, 7 inches tall, and 11 1/2 inches tall overall. It has 1 1/4 inch npt threads in the brass valve. It is a #2 size. It will need to be taken apart and freed up and the broken off vent pipe needs to be extracted but this should be a very straightforward project. These Carruthers Fithian Gasometers are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you’ve been looking for one don’t miss your chance on this one. Here is a very nice igniter for a John Deere E engine. This igniter will fit the 1-1/2hp, 3hp, and 6hp JD Model E engines. It is in great shape and doesn’t seem to have any wear. This is an outstanding original example of a Cretors horizontal steam engine that was built in Chicago, IL, and originally used in one of their sidewalk popcorn wagons in the early 1900′s. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It is the much harder to find nickle-plated version and measures about 10 x 22 x 11 1/2 inches tall overall. It has it’s original builders tag on the edge and is engine number 9424. It operates smoothly on air and everything movers and interacts as it should. It has the original flyball governor on it which is also marked Cretors. There is some rust on the bedplate but on the rest of the engine the plating is very solid. This is by far the nicest original Cretors that I have seen come to market in many years and would be a fine addition to your early steam engine display or collection. The pictures tell the story. This is a very handy old original Clipper bench top flat belt lacer. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. Everything functions as it should except that it could use a spring between the handles in place of the wire that I put on it to hold them up when not in use. It can lace belts 6 inches wide as is or wider if you do multiple positions. It uses standard Clipper type lacing which is readily available from some of the larger industrial supply houses. It has a homemade lineup pin as can be seen but it works just fine. These lacers are indispensable tools if you do anything with flat belting and the Clipper lacing is so much nicer than the Alligator style!
