Old Original CRETORS Steam Engine Popcorn Wagon Hit Miss Flyball Governor NICE

This is an outstanding original example of a Cretors horizontal steam engine that was built in Chicago, IL, and originally used in one of their sidewalk popcorn wagons in the early 1900′s. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind that I can see or know of. It is the much harder to find nickle-plated version and measures about 10 x 22 x 11 1/2 inches tall overall. It has it’s original builders tag on the edge and is engine number 9424. It operates smoothly on air and everything movers and interacts as it should. It has the original flyball governor on it which is also marked Cretors. There is some rust on the bedplate but on the rest of the engine the plating is very solid. This is by far the nicest original Cretors that I have seen come to market in many years and would be a fine addition to your early steam engine display or collection. The pictures tell the story. This is an outstanding original example or a two-cylinder Locomobile steam engine for an early horseless carriage. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs that I can see or know of. It appears to have been mechanically restored by a previous owner who was an industrial engineer and very talented machinist. Everything on it is nice and tight as it should. It turns over smoothly and everything interacts just as it should. It runs very nicely on compressed air as I’ve run it personally. It has the serial number 3893 stamped on it near the crankshaft. It also has “Creetors” stamped in a few places but this is incorrect as it is a Locomobile. As it’s original application is a horizontal engine it measures about 12 1/2 x 26 x 10 inches tall. The previous owner was obsessed with Cretors engines enough that he stamped this engine to be one, too, but didn’t even spell it correctly. This could be removed is you so choose. This engine has the original water pump on it as can be seen. It has a brass/bronze frame and displays very nicely! This is by far the nicest original Locomobile that I have seen come to market in many years and would be a fine addition to your early steam engine display or collection or an even better addition to your Locomobile car to complete a restoration! . Here is a very nice piston for a 2-1/2hp to 3-1/2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss engine. There are no cracks, breaks, or welds. Check out the pictures and see if you need it. Fits a 2-1/2hp to 3-1/2hp Hercules or Economy hit and miss engine. Missing set screw for the wrist pin but a standard nut and bolt will work fine. This is a really nice home built air cooled flywheel engine model. It was built a few years ago by great machinist and his skills are quite evident in its craftsmanship! I believe it started out as a Nelson Brothers engine and several modifications were made. It has a counter balanced crankshaft and a spark timer setup on it. It has 9 inch flywheels so it is a pretty good sized model. It has excellent compression and shouldn’t take much to make noise as it was a running engine not very long ago. The oiler stem needs repair and it needs a throttle linkage from the rod to the carburetor as it was lost somewhere along the way but this should be a pretty straightforward piece to make. No other cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of. It is presented nicely on skids with a gas tank and includes the starting crank for it. It is a very unique engine that is sure to turn heads at the shows! This would be a fine addition to your early air cooled engine collection! For sale is an Original Barn Fresh Delco 850 watt unit. It is a very clean unit with very low hours. If you look at the valve springs they look like they are new! I have had this unit running, I just dont believe that I had the correct battery setup for it to stay running by itself. This would be a great addition to anyones collection. This is a really nice older restoration Briggs and Stratton L1 air cooled, kick start, gasoline engine. It’s in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of.
