This is an extremely hard to find original brass fuel pump for an early Fairbanks Morse N or Standard hit and miss gas engine. It has a part number cast into it that is hard to make out… It mounts with two holes 2 1/4 inches apart on center. It may fit different sizes of engines. Please measure your engine to be sure it fits your application. It measures about 6 inches tall without the plunger. The plunger moves as it should with seemingly little wear and it pumps as it should. The packing nut has some marks on it but it is the original one an could be replaced if you so choose. I can’t ever remember seeing another pump like this for sale so if you need one for your engine or just for a spare on the shelf here it is. I believe it is ready to be used on an engine. This is a real nice original cast iron clutch pulley for a larger Monitor hit and miss or throttle governed gas engine made by the Baker Manufacturing Company in Evansville, Wisconsin. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind and even has some original red paint on it yet. Everything works as it should and there doesn’t seem to be very much wear anywhere on the pulley. The pulley has a 6 1/2 inch face and is 24 inches in diameter. It mounts to every spoke of the flywheel with holes 7 inches apart on center. It should fit the 8, 11, and 15hp engines and probably fits other sizes of Monitor engines and possibly other makes as well. Please measure your engine to be sure it works for your application. It will fit on any engine with an adapter plate. These original bigger clutch pulleys are next to impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it much easier to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. This one is ready to be put to work on an engine or put into your inventory for a spare. The pictures tell the story. Scale Associated Hit and Miss running model engine. Built by Dick Shelly from Manheim Pa. In 1978 using Paul Breisch castings. Shelly was well known for producing show quality model engines. The Breich model engine brochure I have features one of Dick Shelly’s engines. One unique feature of this engine that some of you that are “in the know” might notice. This engine normally has a “B” cast in a circle in the lower front area of the engine. This one has a custom “S” where the “B” normally is. The “S” is for Shelly, the last name of the builder. I want to start off the details of this engine by addressing it’s color. The flash photos make it look like a brighter red than it really is. Take a look at the second to last outside (no flash used) photo. That one looks slightly darker than it really is but closer to the actual color. The video was shot with my iPhone and the color looks good there. Guess it’s just a hard color for my Sony camera to reproduce correctly. The wooden stand measures 17 x 10 ½ x 4 inches tall. Total height from the bottom of the stand to the top of the exhaust stack is approximately 13 ½ inches tall. This engine in the Breisch sales brochure is listed as having a 1 ¼ inch bore by a 1 5/8 inch stroke. The flywheels are approximately 6 ¼ inch in diameter. It weighs about 26 lbs. It has a make brake ignition system with a low tension coil mounted inside the bottom of the display box. In the video I incorrectly stated that it has a High Tension coil. Paul Breisch made another version of this engine called “The Little Brother”. That one is like this except it uses a different head with a spark plug mounted in the head and no opening for the Make Brake ignition. I normally run these engines on Coleman Lantern Fuel with a few drops of model aviation Castor Oil added for upper cylinder lubrication. Being out of the Coleman fuel I ran it on gas with a few drops of oil added. I believe you can use 6 or 12 volts to power the coil. I used 12 volts as I do not have a 6 volt battery. The coil did not get warm at all after about an hour or so of running. It ran best with the fuel mixture screw out about ¾ of a turn and you will receive it with the mixture screw at that spot. There is a choke plate on the inlet of the fuel mixer. It only took a few turns of the flywheel with the choke closed to suck the fuel up to the needle valve. In fact I flooded it slightly on the first start attempt, but it only took about 4 or 5 spins of the flywheel to clear it out. Here is the web link for my video on this engine. This is a running, gasoline powered scale model engine that comes with no instructions or guarantees what so ever!! Do not stick your finger or other body parts in a rotating mechanical assembly!! The new owner assumes all responsibilities and liabilities to himself/herself and others with this engine. This is an adult collectible item not to be operated or played with by children. I make no clams to it being safe as it is a antique scale model reproduction produced back in the day when no safety guards, air bags, safety warning labels, ect.. This is a very hard to find original sales catalog from International Harvester for their IHC Famous Gasoline Engines. It measures about 7 5/8 x 9 5/8 inches with 52 pages. It is in good condition for it’s age with some minor soiling, wear, and some rodent chewing to the top outside corner of the last half of the pages but this doesn’t affect any of the contents. It has nice, embossed covers and overall it is nice and HEAVILY illustrated. It covers their stationary, portable, mounting and spraying engines including the Tom Thumb and vertical air cooled engines. It also shows their early tractor in it along with their 20 hp kerosene engine. It shows all of the construction features and options along with the different setups like pump jacks, clutch pulleys, and attachments. In my opinion it is one of the nicest catalogs that IHC offered and is in great shape considering it’s around a century old! This catalog would be a fine addition to your early industrial library and would look especially nice displayed with your IHC engine or machinery at the shows. These original catalogs don’t turn up very often as so many of them lost their battle with the wood stove back in the day so don’t miss your chance on this one. The pictures tell the story. This is an extremely nice original and VERY hard to find Kingston 5-Ball brass carburetor for an early car, tractor, truck, or other engine. It likely had several applications in the early industrial world. Please do your homework to be sure it is the correct carburetor for your tractor or project. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for the drain cock on the bowl. It has a 1 1/4 inch intake and 1 inch pipe threads by the throttle opening. The throttle shaft has no noticeable wear. The balls seem to move as they should and I’d say after some minor cleaning that this carburetor is ready to be used or put on the shelf for a spare. Carburetors like this don’t turn up very often so if you need one for any reason don’t miss your chance on it. It would be a great way to complete an authentic restoration. The engine is in really nice shape, with maybe a 10-15 year old restoration on it. The only thing that is not correct on this engine is the gas tank, but they did a great job finding one that looks good, and making straps and correct looking holders for it. I took the spark plug out and gave it a spin, and it produced an excellent spark. Both flywheels are in great shape, no fins broke on either one, pot metal one looks like new. No chipped cylinder fins. Has compression but I can hear some leaking past the valves, a few minutes of run time will clear all that up. The gas tank has some very, very bad gas it it and varnish which is the only reason I didn’t want to attempt to start it. New owner will need to clean the gas tank out, after a good cleaning the engine should be ready to run. Carburetor is flawless, no cracks or corrosion. Even has the factory original Briggs air cleaner on it yet! It is mounted on a great looking set of skids. No issues or repairs anywhere on this engine. I can deliver for FREE to Portland, Indiana in May, or Baraboo, WI coming up soon in May, as well as Coolspring, PA in June. Feel free to ask questions. This is a very nice engine, that just needs a tank cleaning and a new home! Good FI’s are getting hard to find, don’t pass it up! 5 day listing – NO reserve!! Here is A Nice 1/2 Hp Maytag Upright Gas Engine, This was in My Personal Collection For quite a few years, I Have decided to thin a few out. This Is an early Engine That Has All The proper Features: Has The Carburetor Mounted to the main Bearing, This does Have the proper early Narrow flange carburetor, But Missing The Choke cap, which are available here on E-Bay…… Has the Original 2 piece governor That looks Like it would run the engine……. Commutator is there But Missing The contact spot Off it. Flywheel is in good Condition, I see no Damage in the usual Areas But does Have one chipped blade Of The Fan, Which is Fairly common… Also I See No serial Number stamped on it…… I Have run across Quite a few With No Serial Numbers For some reason.. This is early enough to Have used the small footed Base, Like The Experimental Carburetor Engines used….. When I first Got This engine I Had One foot On The Base fixed with nickle rod, It Is A good repair But will Not Rust, It Is A difficult Base to find! This Is Over All Good Engine From What I can Tell I Have never Had it Apart, The Main Feels pretty good without any extreme wear, The Rod Does have some play. The Engine Does have pretty good Compression, I Think with some tinkering This Engine would Run, However it would be A good idea to Resize the rod If you were planning On Running this a lot. Cylinder jug Is Good with NO Broken Or Repaired Fins, It Does have A couple Minor chips, Probably From when it was machined. It Also has Unique Brass Muffler That Displays well with it! It’s great Engine If you want an Original Maytag Upright, But would Also Be a good Restoration Candidate…… At least It Is All There, NOT Pieced together, Not Stuck & Not In Need of any Major repairs!!! Here’s an item that certainly doesn’t turn up very often! It’s an original CT Hamm or Rochester kerosene headlight for an early prairie gas or steam tractor. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs and has minor surface rust. It is a large headlight and measures about 9 1/4 x 12 1/4 x 22 1/2 inches tall. The reflector is in great shape with one minor ding that I’ve tried to point out in a picture. It has the original carrying handle on it and it works great. All of the doors both sliding and hinged work as they should and have no issues. It has remains of the “AVERY Company, Peoria, IL” stenciled on it as can be seen in a photo. These original headlights hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets and they really dress up a prairie tractor or traction engine! If you’ve been looking for one here’s your chance. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. The pictures tell the story.
