This is a very nice original Webster MM magneto. These were used on many different hit and miss and throttle governed gas engines back in the day and are quite a bit harder to find then most other Webster models.. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has very little noticeable wear in the bearings or on the trip finger. It has a new leadout wire. The magneto mounts on a 1 1/2 x 2 inch bolt pattern and all of the threads and studs are in great shape. I’ve checked this magneto and it puts out a hot fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is setup properly. This magneto has the correct trip finger for an 8-cycle Aermotor engine but this could be replaced if you so choose with the correct finger for your application. It would even make a great spare on the shelf! The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way. This magneto is in great condition, with zero wear in the armature. The pot metal mag body is perfect, with no chips, corrosion or cracks. It has the correct gear and cover on it yet. This mag has a brand new front armature shaft in it from Lightning Magneto. Mounting holes are perfect, no stripped or worn out threads! Threads are much nicer than they look in the picture. The only thing it could maybe use, are some new oil cups with the flip lids, the ones on it serve the purpose but aren’t great. This mag is about as good as it gets short of having one rebuilt. I’ve included many photos to show its nice as found condition. With tons of original paint covered with years of grease. The flywheels turn true, with no wobble. I do not see any cracks, breaks or welds. The engine is free with some compression felt. It has sat a long time, and will take a little tinkering to get it going. Very Nice “as found” WEBSTER TYPE AMM MODEL 303M51 TRI POLAR OSCILLATOR MAGNETO. Physically quite clean and appears to be all there with no broken/cracked parts (see all photos). Has not been tested but should be functional. If not, should take little to make it so based on condition I feel.. LATE NOTE: A crack on the inner magnet band was just located (see last close-up photo). Didn’t notice it originally and not sure how big a deal it is, but since it came to my attention I wanted to make sure ALL was divulged. Tag has a small tear in it. Engine is in great running shape. Ill be posting a video soon. Engine has the early cast iron carb. Looks to have new bearings. Overall engine is very tight and has good compression. Sitting on a very nice original? There are no cracks, breaks, or welds that I can find. One rocker arm holder looks to be home made but works! Head is in great shape! I can store this engine for a period of time if paid for. Battery and coil not included. Here’s an item that certainly doesn’t turn up very often! It’s an original CT Hamm or Rochester kerosene headlight for an early prairie gas or steam tractor. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs and has minor surface rust. It is a large headlight and measures about 9 1/4 x 12 1/4 x 22 1/2 inches tall. The reflector is in great shape with one minor ding that I’ve tried to point out in a picture. It has the original carrying handle on it and it works great. All of the doors both sliding and hinged work as they should and have no issues. It has remains of the “AVERY Company, Peoria, IL” stenciled on it as can be seen in a photo. These original headlights hardly ever turn up in the wild or even at swap meets and they really dress up a prairie tractor or traction engine! If you’ve been looking for one here’s your chance. It will likely be a long time before another one turns up and it probably won’t be this nice. The pictures tell the story.
