This is a very nice Webster K magneto. These were used on many different hit and miss and throttle governed gas engines back in the day. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind except for chip on an oiler tube as I’ve pointed out. This won’t affect it’s performance but I wanted to show it. It has very little wear in the bearings or on the trip finger. It needs a new name band which are available from several of the hobby suppliers rather inexpensively. It has the original leadout wire which is aged but works just fine. The magneto mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and all of the threads and studs are in great shape. I’ve checked this magneto and it puts out a hot fat, blue spark that will surely run your engine if it is setup properly. It would even make a great spare on the shelf! The pictures tell the story. I’ve included many photos to show its nice as found condition. With tons of original paint covered with years of grease. The flywheels turn true, with no wobble. I do not see any cracks, breaks or welds. The engine is free with some compression felt. It has sat a long time, and will take a little tinkering to get it going. This is a very hard to find original Waters 1 1/2 inch governor. These were commonly used on steam engines as well as a few gas engines. It was made by the Waters Governor Company in Boston, Mass. And is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. Everything seems to move as it should. It stands about 18 inches tall overall. It has 1 1/2 inch pipe threads which are good as they have pipe nipples in them yet. I would say that with just a little cleaning and the addition of a drive pulley of your choice it would be ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. These original Waters governors are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually need a complete rebuild. This one only needs some minor attention and it should be ready to go. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a project, restoration, or for a scale model don’t miss your chance on this one. This is a super nice original 1 inch Leader governor made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It is very unusual as it is a horizontal design. I can’t remember ever seeing another one exactly like it. Governors like this were commonly used on steam engines as well as a few gas engines. I think this style governor was used on Marinette traction engines and probably a few others. It is in excellent used condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has VERY little noticeable wear on the gears or on the shaft. Everything seems to move as it should. The 1 inch pipe threads are in excellent condition. It stands about 10 inches tall and about 13 inches long overall. I would say it is ready to be used on an engine or put on the shelf for a spare. These original governors are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they usually need a rebuild of some sort. It’s ready to go to work. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a project, restoration, or for a scale model don’t miss your chance on this one. It would be tough to find a nicer one! The pictures tell the story. The wheels are 10 in diameter, the cart is complete with a nice hardwood slab for the skids, and a oak battery box complete with wires. The only flaw with this cart is one of the wheels has a crack in one of the spokes (see picture), that is the only flaw with this cart. They don’t get any nicer that this, it is ready to put under your Sandwich engine or any engine you want to put it under. Only thing it needs is a handle to pull it around, I did not get one when I bought it, but it would be very easy to make something up. These original carts are getting very hard to come by so don’t pass it up!!! Feel free to ask questions!! This is a very nice original 1 1/2hp Fuller and Johnson Type N hit and miss gas engine. It is a true hit and miss gas engine and has an open crankcase and lots of moving parts. It is in excellent original condition as can be seen with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It turns over nicely with excellent compression. I haven’t run it but I’m sure with some fresh gas and a cleaned check valve it would start right up. It has the rarely seen Sumter rotary magneto attachment right behind the hopper which makes it a self contained engine with no need for a battery and coil. It has most of it’s original paint and decals as can be seen and there is very little wear anywhere on it. It has the original gas tank, a cylinder oiler, and one original skid. The other seems to have been replaced for an unknown reason but this could easily be duplicated and made to look like an original. This engine has very dainty flywheels on it and has very nice lines to it. It could still stand some more cleaning to expose more paint but that’s the fun part. These original engines are getting harder to find every day as original farmsteads are quickly becoming a thing of the past!
