Very cool piece of history! There is a small crack in the middle canister. It appears as if a BB was shot on the interior of the glass slightly cracking it, but not all the way through. No other cracks or chips. The brass has discolored some with age. The smallest oiler to right (when viewing first photo) reads Lunkenheimer Co. 11; Patented December 19, 1899″, the middle oiler reads “Essex Brass Corp; Detroit Mich U. “, and the fifth oiler from the right reads “Made in America” on the knob, the sixth oiler reads “The D. 4″, and the last oiler reads “Lunkenheimer Co. 30.50 inches long. The tallest oiler measures 10.00 inches high. 4.00 inches deep at deepest points. Weighs 3 ounces. We were lucky enough to get to dig around his storage unit some. This item is being stored in a climate controlled, smoke and pet free environment. This sale comes with no other guarantees than what is stated in the ad and what appears in the photos. Here is a nice No. 1301 This oiler has a vent tube and check valve. It is meant to be used for cylinder lubrication on an old engine. Take a look at the pictures and decide if you need it! Cylinder Oiler, has check valve and vent tube. 3 diameter main glass. 1/2 pipe mounting bottom. 7-3/4 tall with the flipper up. Seems to be in excellent shape. I try to list items very accurately but my opinions on condition may vary from yours. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. So if someone doesn’t pay I will ban them from my listings and also tell all my friends who also sell engine parts on here who to watch out for. If you haven’t caught on this is supposed to be mildly funny but yet serious at the same time. If you decide you don’t want it or find another one cheaper you I won’t take it back. I have been asked to help sell a large collection of brass oilers, lubricators, grease cups, small gauges and other assorted brass items. Please check back often as I will be listing items several times each week. Both are Lunkenheimer Paragon, No. 2 with the Jan 1902 patent date on the top. Both have good reservoir and sight glass, both have ball check valves and breather pipes and both have the 1905 patent date on the hex, visible in the first photo. The shinny one on the left has a replaced stop screw for the fill cover. The darker one on the right – is complete except for the brake finger. Noting the threaded shaft that the snap lever screws onto is bent, see 1st and 3rd photos. Both heavy at over a pound each. Offered With NO RESERVE. Be Sure To Take A Look At My Other Steam. Very nice well marked “Lunkenheimer No 5 Paragon”. “Patented Jan 21, 1902″. Nice brass patina for antique oiler. Overall this is about 8 long. Just about 3 3/8 across at it’s widest point. The glass cylinder is about 3 tall. Minor chip in glass cylinder as well as a couple of minor pits. Sight glass is intact. Normal amount of corrosion, wear and tear. Oiler has vent tube and check valve. Check ball is intact (see pictures). Wooden stand is not included. Have not cleaned oiler and will probably need new gaskets. Will allow new owner to clean to their own specifications. No reserve, read particulars. Here is a 1 1/2 lunkenheimer paragon oiler. On the top cap it reads, the lunkenheimer co. 1 1/2 patented jan 21,1902. The top glass is 1 3/4″ x 1 3/4″. The overall condition is good with no chips or cracks on both top and bottom glass, but it does have some minor wrench marks here and there on the oiler. It has brand new gaskets for the top glass. Overall height is 6 1/2″, and it has 1/4″ connecting threads that are in good shape. Nice oiler to put on your hit and miss engine or to display.
