Antique Hit & Miss Toolbox. International Gas Engine Co. The International Gas Engine Co. (Ingeco), of Cudahy Wis. Appeared in the gas engine community in early 1912 with a vast line of stationary engines, including push-rod style farm engines, side-shaft engines and vertical engines. The vertical and horizontal engines were available as hopper-cooled as well as tank cooled. Ingeco built a horizontal air-cooled engine as well. The diversity of fuel usage in this line of engines included gas, gasoline, oil and producer gas. The company featured horsepower ratings to fit the needs of almost anyone, including sizes from 1-1/2 to 350 horsepower. Leather strap handles on sides a bit tattered, no strap. Wood and hardware in good shape, no lock. Four pull out drawers. Last photo is an example of an “Ingeco” engine (reference only). A couple Bullock Electric Mfg. Stickers on the inside and a couple unreadable motor tags are nailed to the top (i did not attempt to clean them up). Approximately 21 inches wide X 14 inches tall X 7 inches deep. This is an amazing opportunity for a hit & miss aficiando, especially those versed in “Ingeco” models, to get a authentic/period piece. The item “RARE International Gas Engine Co. I HAVE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AN EXTREMELY RARE ROTARY MAGNETO SETUP THAT WAS FACTORY ON THE GALLOWAY LINE OF ENGINES. THIS WAS REMOVED FROM A 5HP TRANSITION STYLE GALLOWAY. THE BRACKET BOLTS TO THE NON-WORKING SIDE OF THE ENGINE AND THE LEATHER DISC OR WHEEL RUBS ON THE FLYWHEEL OF THE ENGINE TO CREATE SPARK. THE AUTO SPARKER OR GENERATOR ITSELF IS ALSO MANUFACTURED AND TAGGED THE WILLIAM GALLOWAY CO. I CANNOT SAY THAT I HAVE SEEN EVERYTHING IN LIFE, BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANOTHER SET-UP LIKE THIS BEFORE. THE GENERATOR ITSELF HAS GOOD SPARK WHEN SPINNING, THE WOODEN ROUND COIL THAT IS MOUNTED INSIDE OF THE MAGNET OF THE GENERATOR DOES NOT CONDUCT THE SPARK AND SEND IT TO THE ENGINE. THERE MUST BE WIRE BREAK INSIDE OF THE LITTLE COIL. I WOULD ASSUME THAT YOU CAN GET A COMMON COMET OR WIZZARD GENERATOR AND TAKE THE COIL FROM THAT AND SWAP. THERE IS ALSO A REPAIR TO ONE OF THE MOUNTING HOLES ON THE CAST BRACKET. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED WITH A NICKLE ROD AND IS NOT EVEN VISIBLE, BUT THAT IS NOT HOW I CONDUCT MY BUSINESS, SO WE ARE MAKING EVERYONE AWARE OF IT. THIS IS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO GET A VERY RARE PIECE FOR YOUR GALLOWAY ENGINE. WE WILL TRY OUR BEST TO GIVE YOU AN ACCURATE AND HONEST DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEMS LISTING THE GOODS AND THE BAD’S. Fuller Johnson 7 HP Model K Kerosene Gas Engine. Barn fresh (I sprayed some oil on the parts to keep them free, and pulled the head off to look in the cylinder). Rare big engine found in the desert – very little rust. Slow running engine, 400 Max RPM. Engine is stuck, but looks to be barely stuck, the cylinder looks very nice, and everything else is free. Magneto is also free. Has old repair on the head that looks to be well done and could be cleaned up so its not there. Has a broken rocker arm, I ha ve the broken piece, but it is pretty pitted up (I found it in the hopper) , I will include it , it might be able to be repaired and add some character. Comes with original rare magneto – took magneto off, it has magnetism and sparks – a huge plus. Has Original Fuel tank, looks to be in good shape – But I have NOT inspected it. On ORIGINAL WOOD skids (rotten part of skids cut off). Will need to be free’d up (piston) and some things like babbit bearings on the connecting rod, throttle rod, and other various work. Great early Red Jacket gear driven pump jack dealer model or salesman sample, wood base 5-1/4″ square , overall 8″ tall. Hand crank represents the engine drive pulley and moves the epicyclodial gear mechanism to drive the simulated pump rod up and down. Housing stamped pat 9-4-23, and also the number 3. Housing is aluminum, gears are nickel plated brass, good working condition. A very hard to find two cylinder KW antique prairie tractor magneto. Magneto is in great condition and has spark and looks like it has been rebuilt but I have not had it tested. I do not see any cracks breaks or welds and the impulse seems to work good. Magneto is stamped HK and serial number is 103921. Magneto is made of very heavy brass. I know these mags fit a variety of early gas tractors possibly case international Harvester hart part Avery and many more. Please see pictures for more information and condition.
