The prototype of the original “Waterloo Boy” engines were built piece by piece, bolted together as proof of function and later cast of iron once prototyping was complete. Engine is approximately 24″ long x 9-1/2″ tall x 9 wide mounted on show quality finished white oak display board. 600 parts and 120 hours of assembly time goes into each model engine. Hard anodized aluminum (including cylinder bore) with a surface hardness of 91 Rockwell. Piston rings are much softer to reduce wear. Runs on Coleman fuel (white gas) in 1 oz fuel tank and needs oiled with 30 wt engine oil. Ignition is two 9 volt batteries in series and a low tension coil to fire the igniter, all m. Ounted in white oak box. Runs at 600 RPM for 12 to 15 minutes on 1 oz of fuel. Hand start by spinning the flywheel. There are small, non-mechanical, variations on each engine such as front badging, types of oilers etc. Each engine comes with serial number brass plate. THIS IS NOT A TOY.
