Up for sale is a very nice Maytag Model 72 Antique hit miss Gas Engine. The flywheel has serial # 928637 stamped on it which was in production 1940. I have been restoring these engines for over 12 years now and I sell a lot of them. I also used to restore Maytag ringer washers and put Maytag motor’s on them as well. This engine was completely taken apart and sand blasted and bead blasted clean and painted with DuPont paint. I take a lot of pride in these motors. I don’t like the way they do things but I have no control over that. But I put my own trade mark on my engines then I know it is on that I restored proper. It has new rings, condenser, spark plug wire with new ends, new spark plugs. I also honed out the Cylinder jugs. This engine has been restored and freshly painted and the tank and top plate was sealed so it will not rust again. I did have pictures of tank and top plate after they were seal but could not find them so I put a picture of the last 72 tank so you can see what it will look like. I do not paint the flywheels like some people. After putting it all back together I ran 2 tank of fuel through it and it runs just fine. Detailing with the correct decals finished it. All it needs now is fuel and you can start it with your hand, it is that easy to start. It takes around five days to pack the motor so foam spray can set up. Pleas read below the pictures. I do not leave a feedback until I see a feedback on myself tired of not getting them for myself You.
