This is a brand new “Root & Vandervoort” engine tag copied from an original engine. THIS IS NOT A PRINTED TAG. IT IS ETCHED AND HAS DEPTH. I make these tags myself and take great pride and care to make sure this tag has the look and the feel of an original. Happy to say that this tag was made right here in the U. I use a process very similar to the way the original tags were made. You will be hard pressed to tell the difference in my tags and an original. This tag is ready to stamp with your engines’ specific information. This tag will fit engines with mounting holes center to center distance = 3.6250. Mounting holes are not drilled but they are clearly marked by the etching process. Depth of etch for this particular tag = 0.0044″ (+/- 0.0007″). Here is a very nice piston for a R&V gas engine. It came out of a 2hp BL engine. Seems to be in great shape and ready to use. The rings are a little sticky but not stuck tight, it is missing the ring around the wrist pin area. Please take a look at the pictures and see if you need it. The wrist pin is 1-1/16″ in diameter, it is about 2-5/8″ from the head of the piston. Head of piston is slightly domed. Missing ring around the wrist pin area. No cracks, breaks, welds. Off a 2hp BL R&V engine. For questions 419 789 1159. Most items will go out faster though. I have many good parts and pieces I will be listing in the next few months. I try to do a very good job of listing everything I sell in a very accurate manner to explain all the good and bad points with the pictures and in the description. Very rare factory booklet from the Root & Vandervoort Engineering Co, in good condition. Beautiful factory artist renderings of several model R & V engines available at the time. These renderings or plates were used in the making of the factory sales literature. Very few of these booklets are known to exist. Leather covers with the Root & Vandervoort Company logo embossed on the cover. It measures about 11 inches X 7 inches. The booklet has 18 fantastic pages. There are some blue check marks on some of the pages. Probably done at the factory. Also slight discoloration due to age. An awesome piece of literature to add to your collection. Water tank cracked from pressing new sleeve. Cant even see repair. This is a late engine, never had a serial plate. Stamped on crank and water tank…. All original parts with the exception of flywheel govenor dog. Its off a 4hp…. Exzact same except part number. This is a registered engine with Peter Lowe on the RV website. Here is a very hard to find clutch pulley for a hit and miss gas engine or other piece of equipment. I believe this style was used on Root and Vandervoort engines. It is in excellent condition with no cracks breaks or repairs of any kind. It measures 10 inches in diameter and has a 6 1/2 inch face. It mounts on a 2 5/8 inch crankshaft but could easily be bushed down for a smaller or bored out for a slightly larger crankshaft. The locking collar for the crankshaft is on it. There seems to be very little wear on it and everything moves and functions as it should. It’s ready to be used on an engine. It has some minor pitting on it which won’t affect anything. These original clutch pulleys are extremely difficult to find in the wild or even at swap meets and they really set an engine off! They also make it possible to run belt driven implements with your engine. If you’ve been looking for one to complete a restoration here’s your chance. This one should be ready to be put to work on an engine or put into your inventory for a spare. The pictures tell the story. You won’t be disappointed in any way.
