The engine is mechanically very, very nice. Compression is really strong. Wico EK magneto is nice and hot and never fails to start the engine right up. Engine hits strong and coasts for a good period of time. I ran the engine for two hours today, and it never once misfired or double hit, it was as steady as could be. The engine is 100% complete including the belt pulley and muffler. Only negative on the engine is the crankcase breather has a small chip out of it and the little leather flapper is missing on top. Gas tank is good with no leaks, no water leaks either. This engine needs NOTHING except a new owner and a show to take it to, NO tinkering required. You won’t be disappointed with this one. This engine has an old farmers conversion on it, which was done very well as far as conversions go. It has a model t carburetor on it, that probably works as good or better than the original carb. The compression is just perfect, this engine is very unworn. The buzz coil timer that is on it is one of the nicest homemade timers i’ve ever seen, i can say it will never give you any trouble. The head and rocker have old well done repairs on them. This engine starts easy and ran for over an hour today and hardly even missed a hit, which is hard to find and/or accomplish with any throttle governed engine. You can tweak this engine to run slow, or at a nice working speed just by moving the speed adjuster on the governor. Take a look at the pictures and video and decide for yourself. If your just looking for a smooth running engine you can sit in a lawn chair and fall asleep to, or one to take to the shows and draw attention, this one fits the bill. This engine is in far above average condition, the compression is flawless, you can hold it all day and it won’t leak by. The magneto is hot and there are no cracks, breaks or welds on this engine that i can find. Has a really nice, correct cooling tank on the side that works just great. The engine will run all day without skipping a beat. Somebody went to a whole lot of trouble and machined a brand new belt pulley out of aluminum, this engine was shown regular by the previous owner. Take a look at the pictures and video and see for yourself, if your looking for a unique engine to take to the shows this summer, but want one small enough to handle, this is it. This engine is so well balanced, it sat on the cement while running today and didn’t even move. The only thing this engine needs is a head gasket, it was bubbling today when it was running, should be a very easy fix. Throttle lever works as it should. Please see description, pictures, and video. This engine is in really nice shape, there are no cracks, breaks or welds. The compression is exceptional. It is mounted on a custom built set of oak skids, and the skids are attached to a nice set of trucks. No gas tank leaks, and no water leaks anywhere. The engine is complete, including a nice muffler, and the crankgaurd. The webster magneto is good and hot and starts the engine right up every time with no trouble. This engine was always an indoor engine since new, the repaint is flaking off and you can see how nice the engine is underneath. The nameplate even has the original paint on it yet. The governor works just as it should, it will run all day without skipping a beat. This engine is ready to hit the shows this summer, it needs nothing but gas and oil. Has a good looking set of heavy cast brass grease cups on the mains. If your looking for a nice, fairly uncommon engine to display at the shows, look no further, they don’t get much nicer that this. This engine is in excellent condition and runs just as good as it looks. It is 100% complete minus a crank guard and muffler, but it sounds great with the straight pipe that’s on it. The flywheel runs as straight as an arrow. Has all the gears that it’s supposed to, and even the original gear guard is on it. The skids under this engine are even original!! It had good compression and is a very nice, strong runner. Only weld i see, is on the rocker arm, which will never give you any trouble. This engine is show ready, and you hardly ever see the dog bone governor engines, lots more eye appeal as you will see in the video with those big governor weights spinning around. You will not be disappointed with this one. I can deliver this engine to portland, in or coolspring, pa events this spring and summer, for $40. I can also secure it to a sturdy pallet and deliver it to fastenal for $40 as well. Feel free to ask questions!! This engine was built by the brownwall engine co. It is mounted on a very nice custom built hand cart, that makes it very easy to move the engine around. This is a good size engine for 3hp, very impressive to watch it run. Engine only has two issues, one is a chunk broke out on the top of the cylinder which will never give you any trouble. The other issue is one of the tabs on the rod is broke, and it was repaired exceptionally well with a blacksmith repair job, that will never give you any trouble, one of the nicest repairs i’ve seen. Neither of the above issues are anything to worry about. There are no other cracks, breaks or welds on this engine. It has excellent compression and very minimal wear. Flywheels run as straight as an arrow. Has the correct, factory belt pulley on it. Muffler isn’t original but looks very nice, and is well built. Webster magneto is nice and hot, and starts the engine right up every time. There are no water leaks or gas leaks. This engine runs very well, and is a good strong runner, you can feel the exhaust wind from the muffler 10ft away. Has the original brownwall check valve assembly which works nice. This is a very impressive engine, that needs nothing but a show to take it to. You won’t be disappointed with this one! I can deliver this engine to portland, in or coolspring, pa swap meets and shows this year for $50. I can also store it here for up to 6 months for no charge. This engine is in excellent shape, with nice compression. The only two things not correct, are the rocker arm and rocker stand, but they work fine, just as they are. This engine has the hard to find webster magneto setup on it. Flywheels run straight as an arrow. There are no cracks, breaks or welds that i can find. Has a nice ball check oiler on it, and also has the original nameplate as well. The cart it is on, is very nicely built, it looks so good, you would think it’s the original cart. No water or gas leaks anywhere. Speed control nob works perfectly, it will idle down to where the crank will almost stop when it fires. Engine is totally complete with original belt pulley, and ball muffler. This engine needs nothing but a new owner and some shows to take it to. I can deliver this engine for $40 to portland, in or coolspring, pa shows and swap events this year. I can also personally deliver this engine for $75 anywhere in ohio, kentucky, or tennessee sometime within the next month (must be paid for). It is one of the rarer models, and in my opinion has a lot of nice to look at monkey motion. The way the magneto trips and detent works is nice to watch. This engine is very unworn, gears are in great shape, and valves have very little slop. Compression is really strong. Has a nice, brass, ball check oiler on it. It is mounted on the original skids, and i believe the gas tank is also correct. The only weld on the engine that i can see, is a braze on the rocker arm, which appears to be a very good job. The only other flaw with the engine, is the pulley side flywheel does have a slight wobble. I’ve looked the flywheel over and don’t see anything wrong, it will never give you any trouble. The wico ek magneto is nice and hot. Overall this is a really nice, tight, strong running engine, and a model and size you almost never see for sale. I can deliver this engine for $40 to portland, in or coolspring, pa shows and swap events this year. This engine is in far above average condition. The compression is phenomenal, you can hold in on compression as long as you like and it won’t leak by. There is also no blowby when it runs. This is a nice tight engine. The only weld i can see is on the head, and it appears to be a good job and does not leak at all, i’ve had water in it for a whole day with no leaks. It has the really hard to find, two piece, cast iron crankgaurd on it yet, which is almost always missing on larger jumbo engines. It has the original, factory belt pulley and muffler as well. The bore is in perfect shape with no rust pitting or scratches, same goes for the piston. The only thing missing is a gas tank, i hooked up a briggs tank for the video. It has what appears to be a brand new, oiler on it. Carb is in really good shape and works just as it should. This is not a small engine, the flywheels are 36. If you have been wanting a big, hit and miss to take to the shows, you won’t find a better runner than this one. There are very few of these big hit & miss nelson brothers out there, and you almost never see them for sale. I can deliver this engine for $75 to portland, in or coolspring, pa shows and swap events this year. I can also personally deliver this for $100 anywhere in ohio, kentucky, or tennessee sometime within the next two months. You can also pick it up here free, we are 100 miles north of detroit. This engine is in nice shape, and starts right up and runs strong. It is mounted on the original skids. It has a very well built cooling tank with gas tank underneath, if you had to build that cooling tank it would cost you quite a lot. Whoever built the gas tank and cooling tank was very skilled. This engine has no cracks, breaks or welds. The checkvalve has a small bit of solder on it, but that is only the checkvalve, and can be replaced, even though it works fine, i personally would leave it alone. Water jacket is perfect, no cracks or issues at all, which is very rare for these engines. Engine starts very easily. It has the correct belt pulley. Carburetor and air valve are both is excellent condition. Flywheels run true, with no issues. Compression is pretty good. Advance/retard lever works great, and you can idle this engine right down where to probably 100 rpm! You hardly ever see these engines for sale, and almost never see them running at shows. This one is show ready, add gas, oil, water for the tank, and hit the road!!! I can deliver this engine for $40 to portland, in or coolspring, pa shows and swap events this year.
