Great old F-M Hit and Miss engine sign! Here is a great old embossed tin sign that advertises for Faribanks-Morse “Z” Engines. The sign is made of embossed painted tin and measures approximately 19 1/4″ by 13 1/2″. There is overall wear including rust on the edges, bends, paint ships, scratches, and dings. This sign was never used and sustained the damage from sitting around in an old Pennsylvania store for decades. Please take a good look at the photos for the best description. This is a nice original aluminum steel advertising sign for Fairbanks Morse Soft Water. It has bright, bold colors and displays very nicely. It measures about 17 1/2 x 23 1/2 inches and is in good used condition as can be seen. It has a few bends, dings, and chips but still shows nicely. It was made by the Scioto Sign Company as noted. It would be a fine addition to your early agricultural sign or advertising collection especially if you like Fairbanks Morse equipment. It is a rather tough sign to find! The pictures tell the story.
